I think we have all been there ,customer as nice as pie and ever so grateful on the day turns into somebody you can’t recognise a few days later and starts trying to twist what had been agreed and complaining it’s all your fault . I have however found that texting people in the past has been very effective in getting people to pay ,it seems to invade there personal space ,and at the very least they will sometimes admit they owe you the money as they tend to text back on the spur of the moment .all good ammo if you have to resort to court

Went to an oven yesterday with a blown oven element ,customer mentioned the oven was under a currys care plan and they had only cleaned it two days before ,the standard of clean was appalling ,no better than a half hearted DIY job ,the wife runs an oven cleaning company so I know how it should be done ,oh and I was there because they couldn’t get out for a week :rolls:

Well an unexpected payment arrived today ,maybe it was the. Two texts I sent her one on Friday and the other on Saturday evening ,all my fault of course for disturbing her Saturday evening :rolls:

I recently had a bad review on yell ,when in dared to mention to somebody on the phone that I charge for my time ,I contacted yell and told them that to be a customer they would have to use my service not merely make an enquiry and to turn off my review facility ,within 24 hours the facility was turned off and the review vanished Cras

Thanks Martin ,just dug out the invoice and noticed she had put on it PAID UNDER PROTEST , obviously part of the plan to reclaim the money at a later date :rolls:

I have noticed an increase in people asking for things to be repaired under warranty long after the warranty has expired ,the one above is just the latest . On the occasions that they have backed down and paid the call out I normally find it’s totally unrelated to the repair previously done , they always assume that it’s the newer parts that fail and not the others ,your normally met with yes but my freezer defrosted and that’s what it did two years ago when you repaired it so it must be something you did last time :rolls: Cras

Haha ,the thing is Martin she was genuinely suggesting that because of the engineers comments that it was never going to have problems again . By the way it was a Samsung American so I think that two years trouble free must be some kind of record 😀 .Cras

My money would be on the compressor drain tray ,been to two in the last few weeks. With exactly the same symptoms as your s ,removed and a good clean out with a bleach solution and clean drain line cured mine

Right this is doing my nut in ,fitted new control board and it stops at 39 mins ,watched it through a couple of washes Fills heats and pumps out and stops with no strange noises and the door is unlocked No power to valves I have also changed thermistors ,mains filter and tried a motor still the same ,no apparent earh leakage from any components any ideas chaps as I am running out of them thanks Cras

If it’s clean I always except the offer of a drink ,the ones you have to be careful of are the milky coffees made by pensioners that they place in the microwave and nuke until the temperature of molten lava ,can add two hours on to you’re working day 😀

Funny that squadman, at first when I asked them to remove it they refused but after mentioning stopping paying them now and in the future they had a change of tune 😉 . This all started because the agent said to the landlord when giving a quote to repair the oven that the wrong part had been fitted ,not genuine I will grant you just a pattern element ( the landlord was given both options two years ago) . I have requested via the landlord and agent that they ask the repairer to justify there remarks but have so far not received any feed back ,I think there silence says everything Cras

Thanks for the replies, found out about the switch off feature this afternoon ,I have no feed back good or bad on it so have nothing too lose in switching it off just annoyed this pr@ck can post a load of lies and get await with it Cras
