Ah but just look at matey (peering into appliance) – just look at that boss, some silly bugger has left that skewer sticking out of the bottom of the cutlery basket, no wonder the spray bar doesn’t go round

Humour me as I can’t find this model number in our data base. Switch the dishwasher on, let it go through the pump phase and into the ticking bit. Then open the door. Now fill the dishwasher manually with very hot water and shut the door. Tell me what happens next??

Not good news – A sad end, if true, to a good British make with probably the best technical department I’ve seen and a customer service section to dream for.

I’m a great believer in letting people find out for themselves how much quality they have inherited 😀 Whilst Im on about quality you may call me Ian – Chris :worthy:

This job is a nightmare so unless you want loads of hassle stop now – there is a problem with this range of dishwasher and their door hinges. This is usually caused by the tension to the door not being set correctly on installation and quite often causes the whole of the cabinet to be distorted. To allow you access to the door hinge mechanism you have to take both side panels off which then gives you an insight into the way the tension cable, spring and hinge fits. If at this point you find damage don’t go any further. If all looks OK I suggest you change both hinges and retension the cable. Good Luck

Not a five minute job I’m afraid. Its a top off, front off, disconnect electrics, tub out, split tub – probably change the tub rear (bearings only if You’re lucky) perhaps shaft and then put it all back together. Good luck

Getting back to the question asked by our reader – Marge – Take your time but look for the amount of time covered by the guarantee. You should be looking for a minimum of two years parts and labour and as you have a young family spend that little bit more. Good choice in my opinion is the ISE, 5 year parts and labour and under £500 fully installed, old one taken away and demostration of its workings by the engineer.

Emmzer – Go into refrigeration support forum you will see a mass of information covering this model.

ModeratorRe: Samsung s r s 21 – Freezer problems
Its likely that you have the same problem that you had earlier but this time its with the freezer section. Before you take it further you must do the following – press in both top buttons on the display area and hold in. Keep holding these buttons in, the display will now flash, keep holding buttons in, the display goes blank. Now release the buttons and tell us which, if any, of the temperature segments are alight.
