Cleat – If you are stuck post the compressor manufacturer and model number and we will be able to either replace the relay for you or alternatively send you a universal relay that will do the job

Cleat – Are you after a compressor relay or one from somewhere else?

Oh how majestic – They want ten days to get their van to us but they wanted next day service when we were their agents.

Re Ken’s earlier remarks – If you were to reflect on the history of DASA, you would remember that membership of DASA started to drop when they weren’t seen to be supporting the needs of the members. If history is to repeat itself perhaps this is the wake-up call for Corgi. I really hope they have got their hearing aids switched on this time. Esmeralda the bells!!

Re: D&G independent network/GB DAR work

I agree with those above. We have also noted this happening and perhaps what is of concern is that the new replacement item is of a brand only available from Comet. This subsequently ensures that the repair goes back to Comet and not forward to the D&G independent network. Nothing sus there, but they must realise that if they don’t support their own network etc. Perhaps someone from D&G would care to comment??

    Re: UK Whitegoods Meeting No.3

Not wishing to put a damper on the meeting and this remark is not pointed at those members who have been to this or previous meetings, or to those that rang in with apologies. But – Ken tells me that we have around 350 trade members of this UKW forum and yet we were nearly outnumbered by guests from the parts supply and work providers. I for one spent seven hours on the road, lost a days work and was happy to be with friends and collegues. Others doubtless came from further away and some spent three days at the venue setting and clearing up. From humble beginings, this UKW has now got to the stage where it has teeth and the number of non-service company reps that attended qualify this point. The moderators and admin chaps do a wonderful job behind the scenes for us all and to quote Del when asked why he was wearing a tie ‘Well Ian, UKW is growing up’. If we want to be considered a professional group of players in this game, we must be seen to share the same commitment to our industry and UKW. The time has passed to leave it all to the others, as UKW becomes more powerful, so those holding the reins need more help to maintain the momentum. So to get to the point, we need more to join UKW subscribers forum and we need all of you to attend meetings otherwise the good work already done will be wasted. To the workers – thank you, to the shirkers – get your fingers out!

    Re: Hotpoint WMA Spider Bolts

Just addition which ive posted somewhere else. If you change the torx over and use the ones supplied with the zanussi spider (10mm low profile) you dont have the problem again. It just another fine example of superb design from Hotpoloni

Add my thanks too. Thought it was a good venue, easy to find, plenty of parking and room to move in the hall and the food and drink was the best yet and on time (thanks Del). Also I saw both Ken and Del wearing ties!! Looking forward to the next one – Regards – Ian & Alma

Re: servis m3510 wont spin ? only 1 year old !!!!!!!!!!!

Just to be clear the two resistors are 6.2k @ 7w. But before we go to this area, does the machine agitate backwards and forwards all the way through the spin cycle, or is it just not spinning at all??
