    Thanks a mil chris,

Do you mean heater OR pcb faulty.
If its the pcb is it worth changing, are they expensive?
I can’t get a price in the UKW shop here.

    Thanks again

    Lawrence,

Sounds like its not spinning all the time?
I’d check the wiring to the motor and the magnet in the tacho. Those magnets are troublesome and any damage to them can make it spin intermittently.

    Re: beko wma520

Well, Glued the magnet and left it overnight to set and popped it back in the machine and hey presto, it worked. But after putting it on to spin three times to make sure, it cut out again, magnet cracked again in a new place so it must have been more damaged than i thought on first inspection.
However, I rang a guy I know from Beko and he has a motor that I can have for thirty bucks.
So I’ll have it up and running tmro without the worry of a call back.
    Everyday’s a school day.
Ta shaun and everyone else for the help.

    Hey Shaun,

Cheers for the tip about araldite rapid steel. I was just going to use bog standard araldite, as I’d not heard of rapid steel, and I wasn’t as hopeful as I might have been. But that stuff sounds like a better proposition altogether. I’m off down to Hal@#*ds now to pick some up.
Won’t get my tacho til next week but I’ll keep you in the loop.

    Cheers

    Re: beko wma520

Just looked at that machine again, The tacho coil is goosed! So I’ll have to wait to get one of them. The only problem is that the magnet is also cracked and it doesn’t look like a replacable part as its bonded onto a brass ring. Could I just glue the magnet back or will it mess up the new coil?
