Ok, Help,
It’s worse it’s getting….
I went back as suggested and changed the water level setting to max to see if it would help, but no change.
When I put it on it fills for about 10 seconds and then stops and moves to the wash rotation stage. And seems to carry on as normal but with almost no water in it.Then I screwed up and added to the problem..
I was checking the voltage to the solenoids and must have shorted the terminals as I blew a fuse (and the tip off my meter probe) and now anytime I push the on/off button to on, it fills….constantly, no matter what programme is selected and when it gets to about only 1/1.5 inches in the tub the pump kicks in (for flood protection i assume) and a fill empty cycle starts and continues.
So, I’m assuming I’ve shorted a relay on the board somewhere and even If I can solve that, I still have to repair the original problem.
The press sw. Is part of the board and I’m wondering if anything else could cause the problem as the hose and chamber are clean of any debris.
If anyone can tell me what relay (I’m hoping only a relay!) I may have goosed or if there’s is something else I should check it would be much appreciated.Cheers
Dave.

The hose is clear, i double checked to be sure.
The press sw seems to be part of the board in front of the main board (it goes through a hole on the main board and then attaches) Is this repairable/replaceable?Dave

The inlet valves test ok and the pressure line looks like it goes straight to the board, is there a removable press. sw on the board, is it replaceable?

Hope so, I’ll find out soon enough.

ParticipantRe: Awg 338. Full of water.
I spoke to him this avo to say I’d call out tomorrow and check the solenoid and he just informed me that it works fine on the 90 degree wash and dry!!!
How?

Thanks ally,
I think it is an RS21 but i’ll double check.

ParticipantRe: Awg 338. Full of water.
My thought initially was the restrictor, but I then thought that the pump should still be able to pump out any excess water that may come in.
Is the pump out schedule during the dry cycle continuous or long enough to pump out extra water that may come in if the valve is passing or the restrictor is blown out?
If its not I assume one or both of you are spot on.Cheers

Just realised i forgot to reply with my findings.
I looked in the pipe to the wash motor from the sump with a mirror and sure enough it was blocked! Cleaned it out with a small hook and hey presto it’s up and running.
Thanks Martin and everyone else.Dave

Had one last week that was not heating.
I found out, with a meter on it, that it would heat for a second or two and then cut out.
Turns out it was a blockage in the pipe to the motor (found by looking thru the sump with a dentists mirror, as advised on here) and the motor was only intermittently putting out enough pressure to actuate the a microswitch.
If you stick a meter on the element and put it on a wash and see if the white plunger on the end of the heater box is actuating the microswitch as the wash pump kicks in.
If not you can actuate it yourself by carefully prying it forward with a long flat screwdriver, then see if the power gets to the heater.
If it’s already actuating the microswitch then it’s something else.
Also check for dry joints on the board and wiring etc.Dave

Indeed I have such a mirror but never thought of looking into the impeller with it, I’ll do that before I start stripping it down, cheers.

Appears to have good circulating pressure. Popping the door open during the cycle, although not an exact measuring system, seems to be producing a decent spray.
I’ve not yet gone down the road of pulling out the motor yet though.
I think I’ll pull out the motor and heater before I order anything just on the off chance that I’ve a blockage somewhere, as I posted earlier, all I have to do is pull gently on the plunger and the micro switch makes and it heats away fine, it just won’t seem to do it on its own!D

There is plenty of water Martin, it just doesn’t seem to be able to make the micro switch.
I’ll order a heater so. -
