By actuator, I mean the plunger that actuates the micro switch, which I assume is water activated.
It’s not stuck between ports as the water is working to the arms individually during the cycle.

I’m afraid not, the 800rpm light was lit and the tub icon was off.

Hi Martin,
Doesn’t count down and doesn’t spin, just sits there.
After about 6/7 mins i switched it off and selected spin only and it spinded.d

Update.
Called to this today and sure enough it’s not spinning.
I had stuck in a pump just in case it was failing intermittently, but it empties fine and then just sits there (showing 11 mins left on the ‘super quick’ wash) but you can turn it off and select the spin and it spins ok.
I meggered the heaters and the motor and all are good. The board looks fine and the m/c is only just over two years old.
It’s beginning to look like the board is goosed!Has anyone any other ideas?
Cheers

Update.
Emptied hot water and then beeped 5 times.
Then after a few minutes, drying time i suppose, the machine filled up again and now the wash has finished with the end light flashing.
If this is normal for this machine then I’ve not noticed it before.
The customer has said in the past that it only gets about ten mins into the wash before it stops, I can’t get it to do that but should a quick wash take 1 hour 45 and then fill with water and stop?dave-m

I’ll make sure I have both when I call Martin, cheers.

It may be an out of balance load, or I’m hoping that there’s a little ‘coin operated butterfly valve’ and it’s not actually emptying all the time.

Hi Martin,
Went to look at this today as i had not noticed that I’d got a reply to my post.
And this drum is not welded, Prod. No. 914900081 00 btw.
The bearings sound fine but there is a very slight bit of movement up and down of the inner drum lip and I’m not sure if this is causing the problem but the drum vibrates like crazy during the spin which cause an awful noise.
They purchased this machine a few months back, second hand, and I’m not sure now if someone has maybe replaced the drum with a different type!
Rang my supplier this morning and got a standard bearings and seal price, but a very high price for a shaft, €120+, so don’t think they’ll go for it anyway.Dave

Thanks Martin,
Couldn’t really think of even looking at it if the chance is they won’t last long…whether the shaft is good or not….It’s tough on the owner as this was a very expensive m/c to begin with and i’m sure he bought Bosch thinking of it being trouble free for a while.
Given the age ,I’d happily pass this on to the manufacturer and if this was a Lux or even an Indesit they would cover the major parts plus a standard labour charge with no question asked.
I rang Bosch, just to see, and they said it’s over two years old, we’re not interested. Terribly frustrating….D
