It does matter I’m afraid if you are trying to do this yourself as there are several Whirlpool fan elements.
If you ask an engineer to do the repair, generally they will have a good selection on their vans so it should be easy enough. Check the repairs@ link below.:D

I don’t think there is a reset procedure for these to be honest, normally the heater TOC fails 😉

A couple are and guess what ?
Ariston electronics and worst of all a sealed tub, on a machine in this price range that’s really going to annoy people when the bearings fail and they get told they have to have a whole tub/drum unit at £113 ex VAT (plus labour) 😯
