    Re: Known Error Codes

Gorenje washing machine error codes with LCD display

F1: connection to temperature sensor open or shortcircuited.
The failure is set, if the connection to the
temperature sensor is open or if there is a short
circuit between the two terminals of the sensor.
The washing program will be ended without
    heating.

F2: The connection with door lock is open.
The failure is set, if the connection to the door
lock is open. The washing program stops.
Supply of door lock will be OFF. The failure
will be displayed. To continue the washing
program, the user has to close the door and
press the „Start“-button. Repeat procedure like
at START. If the failure occurs again, the
washing program stops. If the water is in the
    machine, than pumping 2 minutes.

F3: the water level was not reached.
    – water tap closed
    – leak in the machine
    – valve defect
The failure is set, if within filling or heating
step the water level is below level 1 for the
filling time or 4 minutes in heating time. If the
failure occurs first time within a washing
program, the current step starts again. If the
failure occurs second time (twice in
succession), the washing program stops, and
the failure will be displayed. To continue the
washing program, the user has to press the
„Start“-button. If the failure occurred third
time, the washing program stops, the failure
will be displayed, and it is not possible to start
    the washing program again.

F4: Inverter can’t control the motor.
If the washing program is active and the motor
control unit (Inverter) can’t control the motor,
then first time the failure occurs a pause of 1
minutes. This repeat 3 times. If once happens
that motor works O.K. than all previous failure
must be deleted. When the failure is detected
the 4 time’s the washing program stops
immediately. If the temperature is higher than 60°C than cool down with cold water 30
seconds. Then pumping water 2 minutes.
    STOP the program.

F5: No communication between electronic timer and
    Inverter
If the washing program is active and the motor control unit (Inverter) don’t have communication with main board, then first time
the failure occurs a pause of 1 minutes. This
repeat 3 times. If once happens that motors
work O.K. than all previous failure must be
deleted. When the failure is detected the 4
time’s the washing program is stopped
immediately. If the temperature is higher thaa
60°C than cool down with cold water 30
seconds. Then pumping water 2 minutes.
STOP the program. The failure will be
    displayed.

F6: temperature not reached – heater defect
The failure is set, if after a heating step the
temperature is more than 15°C lower than the
rated temperature. The washing program will
be ended normally. The failure will be
displayed at the end of the washing program.

F7: the water level does not fall below level 1
    – pump clogged
    – pump defect
The failure is set, if after a pumping step the
water level did not fall below level 1. If the
failure occurs first time within a washing
program, the current step will started again. If
the failure occurs second time (twice in
succession), the washing program is stopped
and the failure is displayed. To continue the
washing program, the user has to press the
„Start“-button. If the failure occurs third time,
the washing program is stopped and the failure
is displayed. It is not possible to start the
    washing program again.

F8: The WM not reach max spin speed (the tapped field relay does not switch)
The failure is set, if at the end of the spinning
cycle of the testing program the spin is more
than 100rpm lower than the rated speed. The
failure is displayed after the end of the testing
    program.

F9: Water inside machine (Aqua Stop)
The failure is set, if Aqua Stop Sensor makes
signal (must be measuring min. 2 seconds).
All valves switch OFF, the heater switches
OFF and main motor STOPS. After 3 seconds
check again. If the failure is not present, than
forget the first failure and continue with
program. If the failure is still present, than
switch ON the pump for 2 minutes and stop
WM. The failure is displayed. It is not possible
to start the washing program again.

Just to add to Dave’s post, the fault codes are the same for cheaper machines with no display with the exception of:-

F4 – Tacho open or short circuit (or possibly broken/displaced magnet)

F5 – Motor triac short circuit (no motor control)

Codes are signified with all LED’s flashing the required number of times with a 5 sec pause in between.

I’m off to a northern African place tomorrow afternoon to offload the wife in exchange for some camels or carpets (whichever I get the best deal on )

I’m already under severe threat of removal (by blunt instrument) of two quite similar and cherished body parts if my laptop appears 😯 but I’ll try and have a look in 😉

    Back in a week 😀

I don’t think it will fit to be honest, I’ve had several Masterpart “alternatives” of late that are completely incorrect, this is another 🙁

3111622027 has not been superseded according to Electrolux 😉

It’s worth asking Connect although their public website will charge nearly the same 🙁

    Frost Free 😀

I’m not sure exactly what the resistance reading should be across the defrost heater to be honest but they are generally quite low. I would be more inclined to look for dry joints on the PCB 😉

    Power off of course :plug:

    Re: Neb Venezia Heating Problem

The Venezia has as Penguin suggest a base and an upper element. One of those will have failed I would think, probably the base one.

Power off when checking please :zap:

1000052 is the correct part number in that case 🙂

No decent picture of the pump though but in the diagram on partfinder it does look like that AEG one.
