ParticipantRe: Bendix BDW 53 Dishwasher – access to drain pump???
Yes, it’s a reversing motor in these Conor and the drain thing is a known issue.
You could try replacing the impellors (sort of a kit) as that sorts most of them, otherwise it’s a new motor complete.
Part numbers:
Impellors assembly 50273512009
Circ/drain pump complete 50273511001Dave.

ParticipantRe: Broken door lock – Ariston AB1036 T
It’s not easy to advise on this Rosie as one method involves you putting your arm inside the machine which could result in cuts and/or electric shock unless you unplug it :zap:
The other is to try and “persuade” the door open which may result in further damage to the door and/or the door locking device.
If you can see any part of the actual latch that goes in to the machine from where the handle is, you may be able to push it just far enough to get the door open, otherwise it’s time for a call in the morning to a local repair guy in the hope he can get there on the same day as it’s a bank holiday weekend as well 🙁

ParticipantRe: Had to laugh at this!
Take a look at virtually any of the AEG fridge models as well, full training guidance from the basics for your young trainee to read if you have one and a full thermostat comparison chart.
Loads of stuff on it when you dig deep enough.
TDS is by far the best manufacturers DVD out there IMO 😀

ParticipantRe: Scandinova Fridge not working
In defence of the “engineer hitting it with a hammer” it’s not an uncommon practice to be honest as sometimes if you’re lucky it may release a jammed valve saving the customer the cost of a new compressor.
It rarely works but it’s worth a shot on newish models 😉

ParticipantRe: diplomat adp8252 (smeg made) error E5
It’s a blockage by the sounds of it in the air break.
As Clive says, not a DIY job really, if you are going to have a look, pull the plug :zap: but I would advise an engineer, try repairs@ and the directories.

Yep, it’s a Smeg alright.
Light 1 on and 5 flashing is Error E1 which is the aquastop activated.
Leaking in to the base no doubt from somewhere.

Anonymous wrote:How much would a complete door cost?
You can’t buy the complete door I’m afraid, it’s all individual parts as Martin mentioned.
Probably the hinge and the two plastic hinge blocks inside the door, best to check exactly though please.

ParticipantRe: New door springs required for Homark dishwasher
Nope, not obsolete, I’ve managed to identify 😀
And there’s tale to go with it……
Another customer with a similar aged model asked about door hinges and springs so armed with two enquiries I phoned Caremark as they were/are the main agent for Homark spares.
Turns out they are both different dishwashers and one of the parts for the other one is obsolete, but this particular one for milleniumaire is no problem. So I asked for the price – £25.85 inc VAT for both springs :eeek: I was told so I asked for the part number, turns out it’s a Fagor, so, I phoned their main agent and the springs are actually only £5.06 each inc VAT. Add £3.50 for.
If you would like them ordered, drop me an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk and I’ll let you have further info 🙂
