    Re: complete engineer

The cost is reasonable I agree, my negative comments were aimed at GBdar and the software development company.

If they can’t even get their own web site completed correctly then it doesn”t exactly fill me with confidence in their products to be homest 😉

Over the last few months, as you know, Ken and I have looked at quite a few shall we say, they all claim to do pretty much the same as this one but are more often than not based on other software types and adapted to suit.

If they do have a demo available, I’d be interested to have a look at it 😀

Try holding the start button in for 20 seconds stevo and see what happens.

As Clyde pointed out to me, this does look like a Hotpoing in disguise and that resets the PCB on most of them.

It’s possibly the PCB although I would recommend all other possibilities are checkes first.

If you want a price on it, could you let me have the Product code
(PNC) beginning 916??? from the rating plate please Romarj as there are a few versions.

Please pull the plug if checking further.

Sorry Adrian, all of these syptoms would indicate one of the component failures I have already mentioned, I can’t give specific information due to EU regulations and safety.

Please call an engineer to correctly diagnose for you and your troubles will be over 😉

Re: Smeg cooker SUK91MFX gas flow control

Have you tried the repairs@ module dobs ?

Otherwise, take a look in the directories or pop up your postcode (sorry I’m not familiar with london codes).

May I also ask, has the hob got safety thermocouples on each burner, you can tell as they are the type you have to hold the knob down after ignition for a few seconds and on release the burner should stay alight ?

I’m hoping that is all the problem is (faulty thermocouples) as if you think this is a gas flow/pressure issue I must advise you to shut the gas off using the cut off valve at the meter and call Transco on 0800 111 999 to check the gas regulator.

I’m not trying to induce panic, just safety awareness 😉

This shouldn’t be a problem Ollie.

If you could check around the door though for the product number (PNC) beginning either 61?????? or 94????? as there’s a few versions of these ovens.

    Re: Bosch KGV-3104-G/04 Fridge Freezer

Looking at the picture on the Bosch site, it would appear to be one of the foamed in types as the thrermistors aren’t shown as spare parts.

Sorry, I can’t help with the wiring etc as I’ve never actually done one myself, I’m sure someone will sort you out though Bob 😀

On the same unit, we’ve just had one of these that’s had three boards in the last 18 months, all of them burn up. The customer has given up and bought a new unit but we are at a total loss as to the cause, no dampness anywhere near it, not outside :con:

Well, I can’t say I would have any confidence in it to be honest, they can’t even complete the web site properly, half the links are dead 🙄

And yes John, they would probably try that as well 😆

Andy, they are both the same thing, Bosch, Neff and Siemens are all the same company basically 😉

Stick with the Bosch if it’s cheaper as it will be virtually the same product and you won’t go far wrong 😀

It’s got to be a faulty circulation motor in my opinion.

£86.25 inc VAT and postage Archy, I can check the price properly now I’m in the office 😉
