    Re: “New” Coverplan

I think the discontent is levelled with the fact that the negotiation is made without the involvement of those carrying out the actual work.

In many ways, this is historic of DSG and many a WP and should not be allowed to continue.

There are benefits here for all of us agreed, but please consult us first.

We are on the whole businessmen running our own businesses and to have a “new” level of service thrust upon us with no consultation whatsoever is in my mind narrow minded to say the very least, apart from the “assumptions” involved which does not bear well at all in my eyes with a “working together” realationship.

Working together involves communiction, it would seem yet again that this has not been the case.

I’m looking in from the outside here as I don’t work with CDSL so please corrrect me if I’m wrong 😉

Re: Miele T5206 Tumble Dryer heater contactor

Yep, that sounds about right to me.

Bear in mind that Miele products fail far less than most others so the lifetime cost of the appliance is far less also 😉

As Gegsy says, if the price quoted is from a Miele agent or direct, it won’t be any cheaper anywhere else.

Sorry, we can’t help with this as the lead colours in aplliances are not in any way related to what they actaully connect to I’m afraid.

All I can give you is:

6-4 is the temperatre control switch

6-3 is the auxillary switch (light/heaters etc)

Have you filled in the E-jobs and Charter forms DER ?

As you have the qualities to survive as an Independant for many years as Kevin says, you have the qualities to survive without the need for national organisations employment.

There’s plenty more to come here if we get our way 😉

    Re: Expert Appliance Care Limited

Expert Appliance Care are part of Iceland, so you shouldn’t have too many problems finding their contact details.

Please remember some important points here though:

EAC are agents for Coverplan only and spares being out of stock is beyond their control, your point of contact for compliants is with your insurer not the repair agent directly.

You chance of gaining a replacement product are zero frankly as the unit is still in theory working, it is merely the bottle shelves which are broken, in many cases these aren’t even covered under the repair policy and you would have had to pay for them, Coverplan though will replace these free of charge.

I can check availablity of the parts at Frigidaire on Monday if required as I am an agent for them ?

Just over two weeks later, it appears to be working.

Is it just me or is there a general lack of repetetive posts from the public asking the same things ?

It was worth the eyeball boggling late Thursday night 😀

    Re: LG GR L207DVZA

The power being returned shouldn’t really have caused an error in theory as it’s no different than simply plugging it in and switching on, unless there was a surge.

Have a look in the user manual for possible solutions as many electronically controlled units have, shall we say “peculiarities” within their electronic circuitry.

Let us know if there was a solution please 😀

Mark, even if you download the update you’ll still get the bloody annoying pop-up.

The only way is to install the new DVD, you should get it with your next delivery as they are being shipped with orders only.
