Yep, that’s sounds correct, one side is the temperature control the other an overheat protection.
You’d have to have the water pretty hot though to break the overheat contactss I believe it’s set at around 80C.
There is another thermostat/thermistor inside the door as well.

ParticipantRe: broken refridgerator hinge
Does this look like the hinge once it’s been removed ?

It’s a very common one especially across the MFI supplied range of under counter built in refrigeration.
You’ll need to let me know if it’s the bottom right or left as they diifer.

ParticipantRe: Homark stainless Steel Chimney Hood
They are plastic covers/deflectors and should have come with it if it is new.
The part number is 3066BD and you’ll need two. Possibly quite a long time getting hold of something like this though.
I would phone the store it was purchased from or Caremark on 0870 7502435.

Essentially it’s the same as the Hotpoint Microban system.
Details here on the Hotpoint site:

Not listed on the Caremark disk that one Mark, nor on Agora 🙁
Give Caremark a ring on 0870 7502435 they will tell you the part number 😉
Unless you know what it looks like of course, it’s not the oddball thing where both elements follow each other is it (if you’ve seen one you’ll know what I mean 😉 ) ?

ParticipantRe: Hoover Performa WA110-001 Washer Dryer
This is going to be a drum out job by the sounds of it.
I would say it can only really be the bearing seal at fault allowing some grease/gunk to enter the drum.

ParticipantRe: hotpoint dc26 dishwasher
Holding two of the buttons (not sure which two though 😕 ) will reset the PCB.
It sounds more like the float switch on the air break is at fault or possibly the pressure activated microswitch on the heater chamber.

Bob I’ve moved this post as you placed it in the public forum under another thread. :offtopic: 😀
Which fault is showing ? There isn’t a service manual as such for these but I have a list of the fault codes, they may be in the known error codes list as well.
