    Re: Proline 7000S

Dave, it’s made by Brandt for Comet as Tony says.

The part number was 77X6402 but is showing as obsolete, spares r us don’t have it, they are a retail site and only sell fast moving lines.

Can you let me have a photo/drawing of it with dimensions perhaps ?

    Dave.

I’ve checked every washing machine we carry in stock and the only one with a mechanical timer is the Gorenje range.

    Hope this helps.

I just though I’d lighten the mood a bit, but I posted that before I knew about the attack on Falluja being ordered this afternoon, so appologies if it’s a little tactless.

Martin, it’s Simon I believe you meant to address that to, Tony was asking about his own appliances 😉

Yes, if it is the bearings which it sounds like you will be looking up near the £100 mark to give you a rough guide.

It sounds as though something has become lodged between the two drums Jon.

If you turn the drum by hand, does it feel tight or restricted at certain points ?

It’s a fairly straightforward job to fit the part(s) Tony, it’s the diagnosis which may be the issue though. As Penguin said, there are three thermostats and the element, any of which could be causing this fault.

Have a word with Simon, he will be able to help with this for you.

Fairly straightforward to fit, I am still waiting for a new parts disk from MFI so I can’t identify the part for you at the moment, someone will though I’m sure.

    Re: Bosch WFR2460gb01

It’s got some sort of flow sensor on the water inlet as well as two pressure switches to control the water levels I assume.

Part number 182229, never seen one before myself but it has something to do with that maybe 😕

    Re: Bosch WF2001 washing machine

It’s probably just the water jets are partially blocked and sending the water jet forward instead of down.

If you remove the inner drawer and use an old toothbrush/nailbrush to clean the small holes on the upper part where the water enters that should solve it. If not, the upper soap drawer is only about £15 to buy so it’s not too bad to resolve.

    Re: Analogue Programmers

    No, they don’t.

The CNW136 is electronically controlled. It may though “remember” where it is in the cycle, some do and some don’t.

There aren’t many washing machines out there now that have mechanical timers, I’ll do some research for you and get back with my findings.

Re: A Special day for Bosch ????

This is an electronically controlled frost free fridge freezer, it won’t have a thermostat in the sense that you refer to Tony.

There will be a problem within the defrost function of the freezer which could be one of a few things causing it.

What is your postcode ? I’ll check a few other lists I have.

    Dave.
