Andy J wrote:……best solution repair or replace ……taking cost into account?
Andy, the likely cost of replacing the compressor is circa £200.
At 11 hears old it’s a tough call really, Siemens generally are well made, if the rest of it looks ok it may be worth considering a repair.

ParticipantRe: A Special day for Bosch ????
Tony, could you post the model number of the fridge/freezer please.
It’s a defrost problem of some sort but I’ll need to look at the diagram to advise further.

ParticipantRe: Oi, stop it!
Sorry for delays in my response to that thread.
I must say I am more then a little disappointed in what was merely a rumour post turning in to personal slanging matches between collegues and friends 🙁
Ken may be between a rock etc….. but I am not and it clearly states in the header of this forum that if a complaint is recieved about a particular post then it will either be locked or closed. IMO it is too late to delete it as it’s been read too many times.
I would be more then happy to lock it to prevent further posting if anyone involved feels strongly enough to complain about it though.
I won’t keep it alive any longer by posting to it and would request others do the same please, best let it take it’s course and drop off the list as time passes.
UKW has been critised too many times in the past for negativity and that sort of crap just feeds this.

ParticipantRe: servis caress 1600 ‘a’
It’s not just Servis that do this, nearly all modern washing machines have a built in out of balance spin control.
There are some, as in this case which seem more sensitive than others, if you are 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure that the effected loads are well balanced I would suggest you again contact Servis UK and ask them to change the electronic module.

ParticipantRe: Basic Electrical Safety
Hence the reason all new appliances must have a moulded plug fitted is it not ?
The trouble is the information on how to rewire and/or fit new plugs has always been in the public domain, even from Government with their safety at home campaigns and the like, so there is no point even the EU attempting to stop anyone publishing such information.
As long as it is accurately done, as in this case, there isn’t an issue and it also doesn’t invlove removing any of the appliance’s covers.

ParticipantRe: F4 on similar adp / 6th Sense model DW
osorojo wrote:1) is it “normal” to DW to whir for about one minute before calling for water?
Yes, the drain pump will be the “whirring” making sure no excess water is inside the dishwasher before starting the prgramme.
osorojo wrote:2) after first call for water, 5-10sec delay then F4 raised.
Any specific diagnostic info would be greatly appreciated. There won’t anything specific I’m afraid, fault codes are not meant to be, they are merely there for engineers guidance. They are quite often inconclusive and sometimes innacurate.
F4 means that the dishwasher isn’t draining basically, which it probably is so there is an error in the water level “reporting” part.

ParticipantRe: Bearing kit for hoover TV630 tumble dryer
You can get the kit from the shop here at:
http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/97922496 … er-bearing
It won’t come with instructions though as it is assumed that appliance spares supplied are to be fitted by a competent person.
It’s quite straightforward once you get it apart though 😉

ParticipantRe: AEG D81000M electronic oven
No idea Paul to be honest, I’ve never seen one of these in the flesh as it were.
Normally a good clue is whether the display board has a large IC on it, if it hasn’t then the main board will be “telling” the display what to do.

ParticipantRe: URGENTLY need to purchase a Blomberg Oven handle
If the handle is a black one I can get it for you as this is the only colour variant listed by the manufacturer (Brandt).
The black one is £27 inc VAT and post etc.
If you need any other colour, you’ll need to go back to Comet who this cooker was made for (Blomberg being Comet’s own brand name), contact details for them will be at http://www.comet.co.uk
Hope this helps.

ParticipantRe: LG WD12126RD Washer Dryer
I doubt you’ll get the call tbh, there’s no technical bulletins for that model on the LG site.
The flap thing would be at the tub end of the hose, so you wouldn’t see it, it may even be inside the drum where the hose connects, there is nearly always something to stop steam etc entering the dispenser.
