ParticipantRe: Homark 02-700401 Type B11 Oven Instruction Manual
Whan you say manual, I assume you mean the service manual as opposed to the user manual ?
The user manual won’t tell you how to change the element, I doubt the service manual will either to be honest.
You will need to remove the rear cover inside, at the back of the oven cavity to access the element. You may also have to remove the oven from it’s housing, remove the rear cover to access the screws that hold it in position, it’s not too clear from the diagram.
Whatever you do, disconnect it from the power 1st !!

I didn’t see it, but if you do a Google for “Everything Electrical Pontefract” as per the watchdog title, guess who’s number one 😉
It could’ve been people looking on the web for more info after it was on air 😕

ParticipantRe: Ocean APM6825 from MFI
The heater sounds as if it’s fine to me, it would be open circuit if either the cut out or the element had failed.
Almost certainly a pcb problem by the sounds of it 🙁

ParticipantRe: Smeg SE398X Oven
Julian, due to EU legislation and manufacturers copyrights we are unable to give you that sort of technical information, sorry 🙁
Please let us know your postcode as we may be able to offer some help by way of an independant engineer who is also a Smeg agent and will have that technical info available to them.
Regards.

And renamed to avoid further confusion 😉
Ted, can you check around the door for a number beginning 8511242????? please, there’s a few versions of this model and the wheels may differ.
I will be able to get them for you if you let me have that number 😀

I’m on the case already 😉

ParticipantRe: Smeg DW167 not heating error E3
QER are fine Steve and pretty reliable on the whole.
A whole lot cheaper than a new one as well 😀

ParticipantRe: Necht Dishwasher
Stick with powder 😉

ParticipantRe: Necht Dishwasher
They tend to cause excessive foaming which makes the heating element get too hot causing nuisance tripping of the safety thermostat.
If they are tablets it will almost certainly be the 3 in 1 type.
Try using powder and a seperate rinse aid and see what happens.

ParticipantRe: Smeg DW167 not heating error E3
I’m not sure of the actual resistence to be honest but it would appear to be OK, it’s not shown on the tech sheet either. Thermistors of this sort will normally be open circuit or their value fails to change on temperature rise or fall.

ParticipantRe: Necht Dishwasher
That’s a Haier then.
You’re not using 3 in 1 tablets by any chance are you Shanz ?

ParticipantRe: Necht Dishwasher
Shanz, are you sure that’s the model (I’m not doubting you) but there may be another number begining with WQP or similar.
I have no reference for 11714

ParticipantRe: DIPLOMAT ADP 8132
Have you checked the microswitch on the flood protector ?
If it’s the type with a float in the base we’ve had a few where the microswitch has shorted.

ParticipantRe: Tricity Bendix Oven Door Brackets Fell Off
Ok thanks John.
Let it cure for 12 hours before refitting the door glass 😉
