What spares are you after ?
Blomberg is just a brand name that Comet use, all the products will be made by other manufacturers and rebadged. It may well be a part that is obtainable from elsewhere.

If it’s a Bosch recommended mod then there’s no reason why it should cause any undue defrost problems, the defrost function will most likely be timed by the pcb I would think.
Sparkey may be able to enlighten us more, or Ian if the repair he did was successful.

That sounds as though whatever switches the fan on is the problem, it may well be the timer unless it is an electronically controlled unit (sorry no tech info on this, Comet exclusive by the looks of it).
You can’t adjust the timer as it times the defrost function of the whole unit, there is no adjustment as such.
You could try and get the timer from Comet here on +44 (01132) 310523 a French engineer would be able to fit for you, although I would recommend a proper diagnosis first.
