I would imagine the compressor relay is more specific to the compressor manufacturer than the unit.

What make is the compressor Cleat ?

Re: The most expensive C**k up

One springs to mind, possibly not the most expensive but fairly recent so it’s fresh on the old brain.

Instructing our delivery guys to install a new washing machine in a rented house, only to find they had done their normal job and removed the existing appliance and dumped it.

The one they removed was only 13 months old, belonged to the tenant’s sister and was on loan !

    :lesson: Don’t assume anything !

    Re: Hygena AHY8122 Dishwasher problems….

If it’s buzzing it may not be taking any water in. Have you checked the tap that supplies the dishwasher isn’t turned off ? It could also be the fill hose has become kinked.

Apart from that, it could be a circulation motor/pump problem which will require an engineer to diagnose correctly.

No, it’s more likely, as Merloni (Ariston’s Mother company) refuse to supply technical information to Independant engineers for these models so anything more than the obvious is virtually impossible to diagnose.

Mainly due to the manufacturer using electronic control systems that can only be read or diagnosed by equipment that they will only supply to their own employed engineers.

And at circa £80 a call, perhaps the next appliance purchase you make may be more informed.

    Lesson learned ?

    I hope so 😀

Yep, definite the thermal fuse o/c.

Cleat will supply the correct temperature replacement hopefully, I can’t recall what it is either 😕

    Re: range cookers

It really all depends on your cooking preference to be honest.

Many people prefer gas hobs and the speed and even cooking of a fan assisted electric oven, others prefer gas oven cooking.

    Your choice ! 😀

    Which one Tony ?

The “hollow” one that the inner clips in to or the one with six (I think) screw holes around the inside.

They were in stock when I checked the other day, normally 3-5 working days.

Nope, Hubys will cover Harrogate and I’m certain they do refrigeration repairs.

Give them a call and ask for Jason, tell him you got the number off UKW, he will help I’m sure.

    Re: Cookers Mod02-605403/1

This cooker is manufactured by Brandt.

According to their spares and tech info, yes it’s the correct element for that model.

When you say the fan blades catch, are they touching the element all the way round or just in one position as the fan rotates ?

It’s more likely that the fan blades are catching on the oven rear panel that covers the fan and element.

What sort of budget have you got ?

As long as you stick to the mid-upper end of the market, you won’t go far wrong.

Personally I would recommend the Rangemaster you have already mentioned.

    Re: CFC Gases

How old is the unit ?

It’s very unlikely that any harmful gas is escaping. 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the CFC’s will be or were (dependant on age) in the actual cooling system rather than the insulation itelf, which only contains tiny pockets (if any) left behind after manufacture.

Please don’t worry, there’s a vast amount of refrigeration out there with cracked and/or damaged insulation.
