Re: Homark Cooker – no instruction book

    Hi Huffell

It shouldn’t be a problem, I may be able to sort a manual out for you but it depends which model it is.

Can you check around the door/user manual etc and let me know the model number of the oven. Homark is basically a B&Q brand name and could be one of many different manufactured ovens.

    Regards.

    Re: Liebherr 2840 fridge

Robert, if you could post up some more info from the rating plate inside the fridge please.

I’ll check out some details on Monday for you when I’m in the office.

It is probably an electronically controlled unit though which won’t have a thermostat as such.

Let me know the info and I’ll see what I can find out for you.

I’ll reply to the email with full details in the morning when I’m back in the office.

Duplicate post deleted for you as well 😉

    Re: Indesit D63 Dishwasher Overfill

    Hi Simon.

I’m not exactly familiar with this particular model (1000’s of others but not one of these) the water level is checked by a pressure sensitive switch which switches the water inlet valve off and advances the programme to the next stage.

I would suggest that the problem is almost certainly due to the washing up liquid episode you mentioned. This can have disastrous effects on dishwashers causing no end of blockages, air locks etc.

Check for blockages etc in hoses and “gunged up” liquid etc.

Please ensure the dishwasher is completely disconnected 1st by pulling the plug.

Any further problems it would seem you will need an engineer to sort out for you.

It sounds like the water presure is OK then, which is good 😀

I would be tempted to check the spray arm itself, or is there anything obstructing it ? i.e. a dishwasher freshener thing hanging on the top basket ?

Trigger is a definite no-no IMO

Penguin to be considered though maybe, probably after we’ve met him in person would be my thought, no-one so far in here has been allowed without personal meetings I don’t think.

Re: Zanussi DWS 949 top basket not washing

It could be any of those really, although a blockage is unlikely as neither spray arm would be rotating.

When you say water is coming out of the upper arm, at what sort of pressure ? I know it’s hard to tell as the door is closed.

Please be carefull if you’re opening the door quickly during a cycle, the water can get very hot.

    Re: One Million!

Some amazingly good ideas are coming from this thread 😀

Ken and I spoke yesterday and were trying to work out the best way of moving Penguin’s excellent idea forward.

So here’s what we came up with as one thought:

Four standard forms, cooking, cooling, laundry and dishwashing. All in Excell format so the information can be collated easily. So on that initial thought, anyone know of any Excell wizzkids ?

How do we gather the info ? Engineers in customer’s houses is one way, we would obviously have to carry out a general survey as feedback on the appliance being worked on would be wholly inaccurate as we would only gather information on failed appliances.

Do we have a cunsumer form available for download ? Another way of doing it. Relying on people feeding back accurate info though is a worry as we may again only get feedback from consumers with an axe to grind.

    Just a few initial thoughts.

And Penguin, Ken always gets sloshed on other people’s room bills wherever possible, he’s a Scott remember 😉 😆

    LOL

I just looked on the Partfinder disk. Hotpoint WMA cabinet, drum, motor and pump, Indesit/Ariston type dispenser and PCB.

Described as “FRONT LOADER CURRYS 1200 RPM”
