Yay 😀
Glad you found a solution, hopefuly anyway.
Be careful with the engineer’s appoinment though, a “no fault found” call will not be accepted on an invoice neither will a general check over. If it’s still working closer to the appointment I would recommend cancelling it.

True, I don’t know why I thought England flags were football specific 😕
Probably due the sudden mass of them recently 😉

Sadly even we don’t have access to most of this information, Merloni only send manuals to their own engineers and agents.
The pump cover can be ordered and sent to you, it’s £14.22 inc VAT and postage, if you’d like to order, drop me an email.
The 5 fault code is water level related so yes, the socks should solve the problem.
Hope that helps a bit.

it went about 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the way and then the program switch just went round and round and round
Sorry if it’s obvious but have you checked the filter for coins, fluff etc ?

I believe DASA’s prefered insurer HAy Fielding will cover refurbished appliances.

It’s a shame that your extended warranty repair can’t be attended to promptly.
D&G are a very good insurer on the whole and many of us Independant repairers here work on behalf of them with little or no problems.
As you have an Indesit, Merloni themselves provide the service for their own appliances under this cover, perhaps a phone call to D&G to request one of ther Independant network to attend would be in order ?
Let us know how you get on please.

ParticipantRe: Indesit WD12SUK
It could be door lock related by the sound of it, although you would need an engineer with the correct test equipment to check this properly.
If you are going to have a look yourself, please ensure the appliance is disconnected from the power supply by unplugging completely.

ParticipantRe: Compactor bags 15″
Sorry Rae, this is a site for whitegoods and many of us won’t have involvement in compactors etc.
Google did come up with this though if it’s any help:

Nothing in particular or more than any other brand really, although I would check the condition of the carbon brushes and belt while you’re at it.

I guess there’ll be a couple of million of these going cheap now if anyone wants one for the World Cup

ParticipantRe: LG WD1243FH Bearings
Before I go off looking for the diagrams and stuff, is this a chargeable repair Toni ?
I only ask, as the bearings will be the cheaper solution, a rear tub will be the easiest solution, depends who’s paying 😉
I can help out with ordering the spares for you, let me know eh ?

ParticipantRe: Zanussi drum bearings
If the model in the original post is correct it definitely isn’t a Washcraft. Those are now over 15 years old and extremely reliable (and a damn site easier to change the drum bearings).
The tub will need a new seal yes, part number 1240159036 available from your local Zanussi repair centre, yell.com 😉 Look for Service Force, or if not drop me an email I can sort for you, and the bearing kit if required.
