Re: Hotpoint Brushes and drum problem – sooty

Hotpoint’s solution is a complete motor only at £82.00 ex VAT and carriage but you should in theory be able to replace the armature on this one.

If you have a local repair shop, take the motor in to them and they should be able to advise better as we can’t see the state of the armature but it sounds (as GB says) that it is badly worn.

If you are feeling up to the job or your local guys have a problem, let me know as I have the armatures in stock 🙂

Most armatures are no longer available now (complete motor only replacement), what is the model of the machine Zac ?

Re: Creda Frost Free Fridge Freezer leaking water from freez

One of the defrost heaters has failed by the sound of it, these will need checking for continuity to see which one though.

Power off if checking further or check the repairs@ link below for an engineer to diagnose for you 🙂

Re: Zanussi Jetstream Excel 1250 WJS1397W bearing replacemen

    If you use the search:

    http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ile=search

Then search for “zanussi and bearing” (exactly that without the quotes). plenty of info there that will help 😀

Re: electrolux oven cold + how long to deliver parts?

Hmm, this is becoming a nuisance (sorry not you, the elements ;))

I already changed supplier of these due to exactly that problem, they weren’t manufactured particularly well but these new ones seemed OK as we’ve sold a few and not had any comments but perhaps there are some among these that are also a problem :haier:

Give me a call in the morning and I’ll sort something out (I’ll PM my direct number in a moment)

Check the thermistor inside the door, it should be ~10K at 20C 😉

    Re: Diplomat dishwasher not heating

It should be a 3 terminal thermostat – 85C auto reset and 105C manual reset but I have seen some with just 2 terminals 😕

Overfreezing where – in the fridge (freezing the food) or over-icing in the freezer ?

    That model number isn’t correct I’m afraid unless it’s a non-UK model ?

Normally the first 2 leds flashing is a drain fault though 😉

Re: SMEG DWF64SSE Error Code E5

You can try to reset it but I don’t think it will help on this occasion although it’s worth a try. If you use the search function here:

    http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ile=search

And search for “smeg and reset” (exactly that witout the quotes) you’ll find the process 🙂
