Re: hoover wmh148df continous turning on and off

Sorry looking back my description of the fault was a bit vague.

As soon as the machine is turned on the pcb power up then down again every 5 ish seconds.

    No programs have been started.

    hope this helps

thanks Jem, I will look for the parts you mentioned ready to try.

Re: smeg built in dishwasher flashing all lights

ok, i have checked the door switch but there is no sighs of any faults. i have had the machine collected to the w/shop and have spent some time testing and watching.

the dishwasher seems to run for a minute then stops, turning the program selection and the “eco” LEDs off and then on again, the rinse-aid and the salt LEDs stay on.
then the pcb beeps twice then the motor starts running again.
    this then repeats

the symptoms are exactly as if the machine was powered off and then quickly on again straight away at the plug or the power switch. (different to if the doorbeing opened as this would leave the cycle light on.)

i have tried another mains suppressor (not the exact part but is a d/w suppressor)

i have tried another mains lead

i have bypassed the wiring from the mains suppressor to the power switch

i have by passed the power switch

nothing i have tried has made any difference

the only other issue that may have an part to play are the “eco” led (fitted too a separate pcb to the main pcb) flickers once the initial drain had finished and the d/w is filling (is static then the d/w is running the initial drain)

this has stayed the same through all tests.

also the mains filter looks like it has blown in the past but seems to be working atm

Re: fisher & paykel ff how to remove side panels in freezer

Pulling on the runners worked a treat, as worrying it was.I have managed to get to the bottom of the fault, i have another issue with the fridge door handle being loose. and thought as i was waiting for parts to come into stock I’d see if anyone knows how to tighten them up before i start striping the door down

    any ideas?

    thanks

Cheers for the response. had a couple more of the elements come through since the post, I’m expecting more of the same in the future so will defiantly be investing in stock of these to speed up the repairs.
