Found that the qualtex branded pumps are absolutely shocking and would rather eat them than fit them.

Andy jones wrote:Worst elements I have for failing are the Electrolux wide bracket one. I only fit genuine but don’t last long. Got one customer that’s had 4 in 18 months. Have changed stat and fan motor as well but still don’t last

The original motors seem slow and grease build up / age seems to slow them further causing the elements to overheat and become damaged.

I have found that fitting new motor with the element sorts this issue . I have also adapted a Hotpoint (mtr8001) by creating legs on the motor with nuts and bolts. this reduce costs for the customer, this also increase the original fan speed so will last longer before the motor slowing causes any issues.

i have had no problems to date with this method. Always important to check that the motor will fit correctly and safely.

Also used this method on other makes including baumatic.

alo use the same methord in

    Just an update,
i was unable to resolve this as there was a PCB fault or a gas valve fault so advised customer to approach manufacturers.

Liebherr where extremely help full and even supplied me with service manuals for this unit.

Thanks for all the advice, I’ll have a look through the posts for the screening.

    Re: Servicenet

Stopped taking on work from service net after finding out how much they where charging customers and late payments.

Managed to get around £700 out of the robbing swines thanks to tireless efforts of our lead admin, but have now been been told-

“The problem we are facing, as you know, is that one of our creditors owes us £30k and have now put themselves into voluntary liquidation.

This has left us in a more vulnerable position than we at first realised.

Our plan was to carry on, paying engineers who are currently working for us and also engineers like yourselves to whom we have an outstanding balance with.

Unfortunately as there are over 200 engineers to whom we owe money, along with the usual expenses of staff, rent, vat, etc we are at this time unable to do it all.

Should we only pay all our old outstanding accounts, we would be forced to look at the option of liquidating the company.

We still feel that we will, given time, be able to honour yours and everyone elses debts but we need a few months grace in order to recover from the terrible position we were left in.

We do realise that this is as awful for you as it is for us but we are asking if you could please bear with us for a while longer.“

Still owed £300 that we’re not expecting back but feel like we were one of the lucky ones.

could anyone advise us on any good ways of screening cowboys in future?

Re: samsung wd8704 rja error he2

i have a customer with the same fault on a wd8704rja xeu 01. The customer has advised me that they don’t turn the machine off before the end of cycle.
The ducting has been cleared and the stats have been changed in case of any issues with them.
The drying cycle seems to be running OK although i haven’t seen the dryer water inlet valve opening but the valve itself tests on for continuity (im not to sure how long it takes to first open.)
The blower motor seems to be fast enough and the airflow is ok.

Not to sure where to go now other than replacing the thermistor in case faulty, although im aware if it was to far out the machine would show the “te2” fault.
also is it possible / common for faults in the loom or motor causing the blower to stop as i have noticed that if it is disconnected there is no errors shown.

    any help would be grate
    Thanks

    Re: samsung wf8702rsw/xeu tE2 error

    thanks for the conformation.
I think ill bypass the majority of the loom as it is fully, tightly bound with tape, also seems to be an intermittent fault so chances are it wont show when i get my meter our.

dose the te2 error relate to both wash and air refresh ntc or just one of them, just to make it quicker in future?

    thanks
