    Re: Drum bearing failure Bosch/Zanussi

It is well known that Bosch “did” have a problem the the WAQ range a few years back but this has now been resolved.

In the showrooms these days many Bosch and Siemens have a large sticker on the side proclaiming a 10 year guarantee*, and the small print is a little harder to read. The tub will fail long before the motor does.

I have not seen these Martin and we have plenty of Bosch. The only mention of ten year anywhere is the anti rust guarantee on the dishwashers which is in the brochures. The only label which comes on the side of some product is the energy label.

The SBV69M00GB as the original poster states is an XXL appliance, the attached is lifted from the Bosch site.
is is produced to match with the extra tall cabinets.

Yes it will fit under a standard height worktop but the door lines won’t match up. The OP would need to source a new door panel.

Which magazine like all other review sites use manufacturers badge names. sadly it’s not like the old days when one name was one manufacturer.

It is only a guide after all 😉

Same machine in a more expensive skirt :rotfl:

Same as Zanussi in an AEG.

Welcome to the world of retail!!

Like you we get frustrated with so many different models across the same families of brands. To sort the wheat from the chaff you need to visit the Siemens site to get a list of the current models from there you can check each out by entering the model details into Bosch spares site for a breakdown.

If you just Google Siemens washing machines you will get some models which are not listed by Siemens as they are either exclusive models or Siemens may be box shifting old stock.

As for the Bosch WAQ series, yes there was a problem with early bearing failure back then but the newer ones seem okay but I guess time will tell on that one.

    Hi Andy

Dave in the UKW shop is about your only chance. Email spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk or use the green spares help tab at the bottom of the page.

I wish it were that easy Johnnyboy83 but sadly it isn’t 😉

    Hi

Toughened and heat resistant to 300 degrees C. For your wife’s safety I would have all the edges bevelled.

With the model number and serial number we could probably obtain the genuine article through the shop spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk

    Hi

If the fan is running and there is no heat then it’s more than likely to be the fan oven element. The only way to be sure is by test meter with the power off of course.

Dave in the shop should be able to help with a replacement. Email spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk

    Hi

Miele start with the WDA101 you can then go on from there 🙂

If you can increase your budget on the range then look at Brittania, Falcon and Mercury.

    Hi

I would look at the following 😀

Miele washing machine circa £600 great build, good lifespan and warranty. Downside, service is locked in and spares can be expensive.

If you are going to use a dryer only occasionally I personally go for a vented dryer like a White Knight. Good British product, easy to repair and value spare part prices.

Fridge freezer or separate fridge and freezer I would go for Liebherr, they are the best you can buy. Should be just enough in your budget to do it.

Range cookers, for your budget I would look at Rangemaster.

    HTH 🙂

All under counter integrated fridges are the same size so replacing it is not a problem.

It would nice but judging by their IP address that is not going to happen 😉

    Hi shalu

Just so I can get a better picture is the washer and dryer both freestanding appliances. What width is available for the fridge freezer.

What width also is the range cooker requirement. Is it to be all gas or dual fuel?
