ModeratorRe: Which Dishwasher,integrated?
Hi
Siemens are made to a higher spec with more bells and whistles. Selected models also come with a five year warranty.

Weather must have been bad last night for the ref to abandon your match Jim. I see the game at Hartlepool was as well.
No doubt the Cockerels will be crowing today at some stage 😉

TDiSi wrote:Cheers,
Choosing a washer dryer is depressing! The Meile looks great but out of my budget.
I can get the AEG L16850 for £540 from my local independent electrical store or the John Lewis which has a smaller drying capacity for £60 more.
Which would be the better buy?
Is the Samsung not recommended at all?
Cheers,
Simon
The AEG from the independant IMO, The JL is made by the same group of companies as the AEG.
I’m sorry but I need to pass on the Samsung, but I’m sure someone else will chip in.
TDiSi wrote:Sorry guys, been looking at the Bosch and Siemens options.
Are the Siemens WD14H420 and Bosch WVH28420GB the same units with a different brand on them?
Would either of them be better than the AEG L16850 or John Lewis JLWD1609?
Cheers,
Simon
Siemens are a higher spec machine and have more bells and whistles than the Bosch. Both brands are part of the BSH group, both have a two year warranty. Personally I prefer them to AEG.

ModeratorRe: Undercounter fridge and freezer 50cm depth
Hi Lynne
The narrowest I can find is 554mm made by Lec. You could try digging around for caravan or narrowboat fridges and freezers, you never know you may find something.
Why is your maximum depth only 50cm 😕

Hi mutley1
Split this enquiry away from the ISE thread 😉 causes less confusion.
Bosch are part of the same group as Neff, they are always worthwhile purchase and having two year warranty is a plus too. the Jual price is more than competitive to say the least.

Hi Simon
A good read here on the merits of washer dryers.
I would go for the AEG and purchase from John Lewis for the added benefit of the free two year warranty.
Bosch and Siemens are also worth a look and have a two year warranty.
Those apart it`s time for a Miele which is the closest to doing what it says on the tin 😉

ModeratorRe: ASHES 2010/2011
The Aussies are not enjoying the best of form lately, the bowling attack is weaker than it has been for some years. England while they have been winning series have not yet clicked as I think they can. We certainly need our top five batsman to perform.
On Oz turf I would expect Ponting to come out fighting and use the home advantage.
I am going to go for the series draw and bring the urn back to Lords.

ModeratorRe: Wine Fridge next to range cooker
Hi Susan
Of the three threads on the very same question 😉 I have deleted the one in the OZ forum and the one in the cooking one as well. It`s much easier to keep it to one thread.
As the fridge is purely for wine and not food products it should be okay for them to be side by side. The fridge may run a littler harder if the cavity and burners on that side of the cooker are used for a prolonged running time. You could try a buffer sheet between the two machines if the white wine is not cold enough 😉

ModeratorRe: Philips guarantee
I suspect it will only be the consumer electronics like TV etc, the small appliances are usually on a one year swap out guarantee.
