    Hi Kim

Just like the car industry we have model changes every year, sometimes the change is only cosmetic other times it can be a technical improvement. So buying a product that is say a “year” old should not be a problem later down the line if a problem arises.

Another manufacturer you could consider would be Liebherr I must admit I have not checked out the sizes 😉 They are a quality German manufacturer much in the mould of your choices, in fact they do produce some of the Miele products for them.

    Hi kilburn

In that case I would go for either a Bosch again like the WAE24364 or it`s 1400 spin partner the WAE28364. You could consider the Loggixx and the Exxcell machines which are the next ranges up, however the price also goes up at the same time. All ranges come with the usual 2 year warranty.

Another alternative is the ISE range of appliances. The ISE AW23 with a two year warranty £449.99 delivered and installed

is comparable with the Bosch or for a slightly higher price the ISE AW23 with a full five year warranty £519.99 delivered and installed

Where this brand scores is that everything is carried out at a local level, should an engineer be required it`s only a local call away.

    Hi kilburn

When you say “cupboard” are you referring to between two base units as a freestanding machine or between two base units with a wooden door on the front of the appliance known as an integrated machine? If it`s the latter then there are two more choices ie semi integrated where you would see the controls or fully integrated where the controls are hidden behind the door.

    Hi M1

All Bosch appliances come with two year warranty, I would check your date of purchase 😉 if it is under two years old give Bosch a ring on 0844 8928979.

    Hi stillsmiling

Probably the best brands for durability and quality IMO would be Zanussi, Stoves, Cannon and Bosch. The latter, while it is a cracking product it is only a large single cavity but it does have the added advantage of a two year warranty.

    Hi James

When it comes to gas appliance repairs it`s best to have an engineer take a look, it`s also the safest option as well. You could try the “find an engineer “link in your post” 😉

Sorry you had no luck with Hoover, on the upside 🙂 I reckon that figure is a good estimate.

No info on Google I`m afraid, so I guess a call to Hoover is required.

    Hi K

I am happy to “road test” this on our Bosch machine which is smelly. Rosemary does perform a service wash fortnightly and the door seal is clean.

I`ll post up a review in the forum if you like, which should sort out the sceptics among the troops and Martin 👿 .

What price for a “road test” then ❓ 😆
