No punches pulled in that article 8) , be interesting to see what was omitted from the original article.
You may have just shaken a few trees there Ken. It`ll be interesting to see if any of the manufacturers respond in print, I shan`t hold my breath though :rolls:

Aha Wimborne I used to know it quite well, is the high end audio retailer still there?
We lived in Ferndown at trickets Cross end, not the posh bit down by the links 😉 over the years worked in Ringwood, Christchurch, Parkstone, Southbourne and Winton for the same retailer :rolls:

Bosch, Hotpoint, Miele and many others are still coming in at 600 deep. I guess you may be looking at the 8kg load machines which are indeed deeper.

Hi
Which makes and models were you looking at, as most are 60cm or very to it. The most common thing we come across is any plumbing which stands out from the wall to far.

We have been supplying Gorenje products for the last eight years or so. Not bad quality product for the price, they come with a two year warranty. Spares can be a little slow at times is their only real downfall. The WA601111 would be a good buy or the WA60129 if you can stretch a little more. Service is usually carried out by a local service agent.

ModeratorRe: Bosch KGH39V03 Is extedning the warranty worth it?
Hi
Extended warranties have always been and will always be a bone of contention. if you consider the cost of an engineer`s labour charge say £45 plus the VAT and any spares should they be required, you could easily use up the £95 premium you have paid in the one hit. Also no doubt there will be frozen food protection built into the policy as
well thus saving your household contents premium increasing should you make a claim.Another way of looking at it is, what price do you want to put on having peace of mind on a product which is plugged in and working 24/7.

Hi carrot
I would recommend you take a read of our buying guide to Fridge freezers to start with. When it comes down to brands, frost free and budget I would recommend you go with either Bosch, Liebherr and Miele. The budget machines like Proline and Prestige will not give longevity of life I`m afraid. The Hotpoint frost free are average in my opinion.
When it comes to washer dryers don`t get one unless you really really have to 😉 , seperates are by far the better option even if it means having a small compact dryer. Another good article to read is here on washer dryers.
The ISE machines are a totally different concept to any thing else currently on the market. The machines are well constructed, easy to use and stand equal to Miele. The main difference is when it comes down to service Miele control their own service and do not freely give out technical advice to the independant sector , also Miele parts are overpriced compared to other brands. With ISE all service is carried out by your local service engineer which in most cases will be the same one who supplied and installed the machine in the first place, couple that with far cheaper spare parts should they be needed. Oh and the ten year guarantee is underwritten by AXA insurance for your protection in these troubled times. The matching ISE 10 tumble dryer compliments the washer perfectly, you can have a choice of either vented or condenser.
