ModeratorGet the Asko from the right retailer and get a five year warranty as opposed to 2 at Bosch.

ModeratorI believe from your sizing you have a 70:30 split integrated fridge freezer. You will need to check any new appliance will take your existing decor doors.
As for the hinging it would you appear you have what is called fixed hinging so your replacement needs to have the same. You can install a freestanding appliance in the housing which would be a cheaper option but you would need to lose the decor doors. Hotpoint and Beko amongst others will fit. Just make sure you measure well before purchasing.

ModeratorSchreiber was owned by MFI from the early 1980’s , If I remember this correctly these were available in the mid to late 80’s which makes this approaching 40 years old.
The main company which held spares for this brand, Diplomat and Hygena was a company called AWS who closed down a few years ago. There are virtually no spares available so it really is time to call it a day and replace the appliance.
If you measure the outside wooden doors and count the number of freezer drawers I can point you in the right direction. Also check if there are plastic runners between the decor doors and the appliance doors as there are two different types of hinges available.

ModeratorOn the appliance side of things, what is the maximum width you can accommodate and what is the current appliance H X W X D?

ModeratorThe only ones I know of are Hisense, Hotpoint and Indesit which are 59.5cm wide. They all produce an 8kg 1400 spin at under £300.00.

ModeratorSo the only black matching pair in the correct width are Fridgemaster website https://fridgemaster.co.uk/ not the greatest brand but if needs must then you may have to. Otherwise there are the Statesman appliances website Statesman at least these have a two year warranty.
As already said not many options out there.

ModeratorGive ma a while and I’ll reply. That’s a very old width which hardly anyone produces these days. But I know where to look.

ModeratorPrimarily theses forums are for white goods but some of us do have knowledge of black goods.
So ask away and we’ll have a go, if we can’t help we will try and point you in the right direction.

ModeratorSo if you purchase locally in Sicily you will will purchase the correct appliance ambient temperature range. Yes buying a cheaper appliance may be the answer but also factor in the installation charges etc each time.
Personally I would if you can get them would be to look at the Liebherr range not cheap but they are the best. If anything is going to cope then these have the best chance.
Research as much as possible inquire what friends and neighbours have. I have included the following ambient temperature chart for information.

ModeratorI totally agree with K, I was the first in Devon to stock Asko products some thirty five years ago and we were totally taken with them and I have to admit still am.
Miele have a lot of restrictions when it comes to spare parts and service information. Service info is restricted to their own engineers. You can look up spare parts on their website and get part numbers but be warned it can be a costly mistake if you get it wrong.

ModeratorStoves and Belling are both owned by Glen Dimplex appliances, they would be my second choices to look at.

ModeratorI would be looking at Rangemaster and AEG. I would though visit your local stores to have a real close up as you will find the quality of product is not the same as your current appliance. John Lewis, a local Euronics and of Course Currys are good places to start.
As for the rest the likes of Beko and Hotpoint are average and the others like Kenwood and Logik etc are okay on price but poor on quality.

ModeratorCorrect me if I am wrong but Rangemaster 55 was a 55cm wide cooker?
In which case you will struggle to get a direct replacement as you say there are AEG link https://www.appliancesdirect.co.uk/ct/cooking/cookers/gas/55cm
If you can get a 60cm in that would give you a far greater choice. A word of caution the gas safe rules for installation of a new gas cooker have changed dramatically so you need to check as manufacturers regs can vary.

ModeratorThere were rumours around a while back that Zanussi was in the frame to be off loaded and Midea may be interested. I’ve not seen anything on it lately. There was nothing on it in last months ERT.
