😳 should have cleaned my glasses first 😀

Looking through the A-Z of maistream manufacturers the narrowest I can find is the Zanussi ZEUC1825 but it is 55cm wide, 125 cm high and has a 6 cu foot capacity. Can you gain a little more width ❓ .

Or as a compromise how about a 50cm wide fridge freezer with a small freezer attached either at the top like the Whirlpool ARC2130 or the Lec T5006 which is on the bottom. At least you are increasing the fridge capacity.

    Just a thought.

To be honest, i think Dyson must be doing something to compensate, all the multiples (apparently), will be widely advertising the free 5yr guarantee.

An extra discount on settlement no doubt 😉 Must ask the Dyson rep when he comes in.

I personally would lean towards the Miele as I am a great admirer of their products and aftercare. The W4446 with it`s angled fascia and honeycomb drum just gives that little bit extra. However there are others on here who would say the Siemens . Both are good reputable manufacturers who supply quality products hence the long guarantee periods. Both machines are durable, easy to use and offer the user flexibility in use.

    Re: Another joke.

A man boarded an aircraft at Heathrow and took his seat. As he settled in, he noticed a very beautiful woman boarding the plane.

He realised she was heading straight towards his seat and bingo! She took the seat right beside him. Eager to strike up a conversation, he blurted out, “Business trip or Holiday?” She turned, smiled enchantingly and said “Business. I’m going to the annual nymphomaniac convention in the United States”.

He swallowed hard… here was the most gorgeous woman he had ever seen sitting next to him, and she was going to a meeting for nymphomaniacs! Struggling to maintain his composure, he calmly asked, “What’s your business role at this convention?”

“Lecturer,” she responded. “I use my experience to debunk some of the popular myths about sexuality.”

“Really”, he smiled, “what myths are those?”

“Well,” she explained, “one popular myth is that African American men are the most well endowed when, in fact, it’s the Native American Indian who is most likely to possess that trait. Another popular myth is that French men are the best lovers, when actually it is the men of Greek descent. We have also found that the best potential lovers in all categories are the Irish.

Suddenly the woman became uncomfortable and quiet…..

“I’m sorry,” she said, “I really shouldn’t be discussing this with you, I don’t even know your name.”

“Tonto,” the man said… “Tonto Papadopoulos, but my friends call me Paddy.”

Bosch everytime the base “Classixx” range for a 1200 spin with a two year guarantee will set you back about £275. Upgrade to the Exxcel and the Logixx for enhanced features, functions and improved energy efficiency.

Some of the Whirlpool range still have a hot supply but not all. The new blue screen models like the AWO10561 have.

    Hi Gilbo

The Miele is a great machine, great spec and with it`s five year parts and labour warranty you will not better it IMO. As for the cutlery tray it`s okay if you are not in a hurry as each individual piece has to be laid in seperately. However the wash results in this tray are excellent. As the saying goes you do get what you pay for 😉 .

Bosch produce good all round machines too, which are suited to the majority of budgets and come with a two year parts and labour warranty. Take a look at the SGV53E03GB or the SHV55M03GB with enhanced features.

Re: Any washing machines that work with low water pressure?

The only info I can find in manufacturers literature is in the Bosch catalogue. They state ” water pressure required 1-10 bar, flow rate 8 litres per minute”.

Neff is part of the same group of companies as Bosch. Apart from a couple of range style cookers they specialise in built in appliances and are held in high esteem throughout the industry. Like Bosch they to come with a two year warranty subject to registration. The S5453 is a good all round appliance and will accomodate the same plate size too.

When buying a built in appliance I would reccomend that you visit a local independant retailer who will be able to offer you the best advice, a delivery time that suits you and a good after sales service.

kwatt wrote:That said, at least they are trying to do something different and raise the retail prices a bit, I still think it’s too cheap as a quick search online shows you can get the base model from about £320 up to about £470 for the top one listed. Amazing though that one single part can cost more than 30{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the replacement cost don’t you think?

    K.

I`ve sold 3 so far and customers seem to like the easy logic of left to right on the controls, larger door opening and the super silent spin. Nice earner too as I have been lucky enough to have sold the 1400 and the 1600 spin models so far. Nice thing about the price is, Hotpoint are not giving the “net” companies any further discount so at least on that range of appliances it`s a level playing field.

Re: Need help replacing a Zanussi DS 21 TCR

The nearest machine I can come up with for you using the criteria given would be the Bosch SRS55L22 slimline machine with overall dimensions of 45 wide 60 deep and 85 high the depth is total as the controls buttons are small microswitches the plate size it can accomodate is 25cm with top basket at lowest position and 30cm at its highest. The upper basket will hold 21 and 26cm depending on adjustment. All dishwashers to my knowledge have upper spray arm feed at the back of the machines.

As far as built in appliances are concernd with the budget you have available you will be down in the Indesit area not good at all I`m afraid 😉 . Personally I would have the plumbing moved and go for the Bosch.
