ModeratorHi
From your three choices I would go as the order they are in 🙂 others may have there own opinion 😉
The John Lewis product which will have been produced the the Zanussi / AEG group will have a good build quality and a two year warranty as well. Meanwhile the Bosch which still has a good name in the marketplace does tend to trade on it’s name that said the machines do still perform well albeit the spares are a higher price. Lastly the Beko while it is a reasonable product with spares which are cheaper than the norm the product isn’t as well made as the other two.HTH

ModeratorSadly not, Gtech have withdrawn spares and machines from all the usual distributors to sell themselves directly to the public. Google isn’t much help either 😉

ModeratorThere are four different versions of that hob and all have different part numbers for ignition cover. Your part number is obsolete and no stock is available at Bosch. Google does not turn up anything either.
30 years ago the estimated life would have been approx 10 years so to get 30 is great but now is the time to have it replaced. Do you have a carbon monoxide detector in the kitchen?

ModeratorReally sad, the brand has been very popular over the years with good value spares.
There are no full size machines available anywhere just a few of the compacts left now.

You will get better choice and value from Liebherr.

ModeratorWe have been asked this a couple of times recently and yes K is right.
It also helps Hotpoint to reach it’s “A” energy efficiency requirement by cutting the fan in and out.

ModeratorHi susanne
I have had a look on Gaggenau parts and like I thought they are obsolete even a Google does not turn anything up. From my info the hob is approx 25 years old and I suspect if a Gas Safe engineer did visit he would probably condemn it anyway.
I think it’s time for a new hob 😉 and as such would still need to be fitted by a Gas Safe engineer.

ModeratorI have known that on some previous models from that group that if there are no extra digit when it is made it then becomes the 00 version later on if they are succeeded by 01, 02 etc.
Like I said earlier it’s time to consider replacing it rather than a repair as for the frost free versus cyclical I would always choose cyclical as they have less components and are easier to repair. Trouble is over 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of all fridge freezers out there are frost free.
Good luck with your search, if you want the best then look at Liebherr who also make for Miele, most other brands should give you about seven to eight years. You cannot build obsolescence into a product it’s physically impossible to do it.

ModeratorThe two digits are important as it gives the version number of your appliance. There are in fact two different modules used on that machine so the two digits are important.
That said the price of the modules are about the £150 mark as as Bob says It could become a “money pit.” The machine is well past it’s life date as well being a circa 2004 model. I would cut your losses and replace it.

ModeratorFrom what is currently available Beko, Bosch / Siemens and Zanussi would be my top everyday picks.
If you want a machine that will last then the Miele machines, there is a price to pay though in as much as spares and service is virtually limited to their own service network and spares can also be more expensive.
