ParticipantRe: advice on removing cap on drain pump???
Yes thats right, you will be an electrode if you mess with electrics when you are quite clearly out your depth.
You asked for advice on using a meter, we cant tell you that because of forum rules and the saftey of yourself.

Your response demonstrates why we are right to warn you to proceed no further, i take my hat off to you for wanting to learn about electrical testing, however this forum is not the place to learn this, i suggest you enroll on an electrical course and then test meters and electrical appliances will be your playground, but not now.
Seriously if we attempted to tell you how to do by words here and you get it wrong and electrocute yourself we will feel terrible and that simply cant happen. Now call the repair guy!

Get an engineer out to repair it before you end up down the hospital with yourself being repaired by them.

ParticipantRe: New Sebo X4PET owner 🙂 silly question maybe?
The hose does just slip in the extension tube on the back, the suction will suck it down to the bottom, it is that simple. You can take the hose out the extension tube and attach the tools to it or pull the extension tube off the cleaner and attach the tools to the end for extra reach

Then there is no more info we can provide, you have asked the experts and it looks like you are going to ignore our advice, so what was the point of asking?
