Re: Double or single electric oven?

The fan oven is the same power as most other ovens on the market.

They electronically cycle the power available between the zones. So on 13amp 4 zones will be less powerful than being connected to the full 32 amp. They havnt been out long enough to determine reliability of the electronics, ideal though for anyone who has a gas hob and didnt think they could have an electric hob due to no cooker outlet.

Sorry caveman, you clearly stated that single pyro ovens cant be 13amp in your post which is not correct, i have corrected this and given examples that can be purchased.
Bosch and neff do 2 models of induction hob that can work on 13amps, one comes with the wire and 13 amp plug fitted, one comes with the wire pnly and you programme it to tell it whst supply its connected to, 6, 10, 13, 20 amp, called power management. Belling and stoves also make models that plug in too, and i am sure there is other manufacturers that also do them. A couple of years ago someone did a survey which showed that most users only used 2 zones most of the time, thats why they come up with this solution apparantly.

Sorry caveman, what is confusing about the fact that you can plug some pyro ovens in to a 13 amp socket? The op can buy one, lots of retailers sell them.
    You have lost me.

Ok, bryan, how many new smegs have you sold, how many have you had on your shop floor,?
The op has asked weather the smeg will fit and has stated they have an additional 10mm to play with if nessessary. Not for your opinion on the smeg or a repair of the old cooker. What is the reason for your totally opposite reply to the op’s question? I can only assume it us because i have replied.

You are only 5mm too narrow, i think it will squeeze in as the smegs tend to be a few mm shorter.

I think that you should not touch the appliance again, 3 rd time lucky to electrocute yourself. Heres some advice call an engineer in to fix it, its got to be cheeper than death! There really is no excuse to leaving an appliance plugged in then working on it.

I dont think any manufacturer makes a machine that is easy for home maintenance, washer dryers are the least reliable white good, if you have to have one look at Bosch Siemens or miele(sit down first)

You need to unplug the machine and do not touch it again untill you have the brushes, fit them then plug back in to test, 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} chance your machine will work again.
