Either model would be a good buy.

Sorry to say this, it will be a pile of rubbish. Its cheap for a reason, parts in a few years will be non existant and when this hob fails it will add to the recycling mountain. Not the way forward IMO.

    Re: floor damage

This wont be cut and dried, the customer is entitled to expect you to correct the damage, but there is a case of betterment, how old is the floor, general condition etc etc.
Mant years ago a customer bounced a cheque on me because she said i damaged her floor. I refused to pay and took her to court for the money, she counter claimed for £400+ for a new floor, it went all the way to court and the magistrate determined that she isnt entitled to the full cost as that would put her in a better position than before my visit, he worked out a percentage for the damage which was half what she owed me. I wasnt entirely happy as i thought the damage was allready there.

I would make her an offer, with out prejudice, and see how you get on.

Of course when you change from a solid plate hob to a ceramic or induction you will allmost always have to make the hole bigger, and don’t forget the ventalation for the induction hob!

    Re: Amazon Appliances?

It appears a lot of the big online retailers are dropping out the online market as they are starting to understand that there is no money in cheep machines and they are not getting the better appliances at the prices they once did. Also the cost of advertising your stuff through price comparrison sites is getting more and more expensive, amazon is an interesting thing though as they have good prescence allready, so not as costly. Packaging and delivering appliances is a bit different though, here’s a funny fact- one of the chaps that owned the parcel delivery company that Amazon bought a few years ago is one of my customers, told me the yanks from Amazon offered a stupid amount of millions for his company, so he took it and never worked since! He is now working as an advisor for them as they were losing money with it.

I am pretty sure that’s not that old and would have a full 10 year warranty

    Re: Premier Range Oven.

And here’s the thing, they don’t have to offer a warranty, aftersales, spares or technical, its not a legal requirement, so an offer of £20 is £20 more than they have to do. They won’t care that you will rubbish their appliances or them as next year they will be sold under a different name. Its down to the consumer to research what they are buying, and decide the best offer, sticking to brand names does help, but here you will also find poor quality as well. If its cheep it will nearly always mean its poor quality.

You only need the dimensions of the cabinet and the cabinet door sizes, ie, the size of the hole!

Fully integrated look at Bosch, Neff or Siemens, a bit more than average price, but definatley worth it imo

Samsung offer a 5 year warranty to entice you to buy.
Neff ovens are in my opinion better than 20 years ago, they are renowned for their circotherm cooking, the Zug is good quality but if you want good cooking then buy a Neff

You can have 1000 years experience, the fault was the gearbox siezed! I was grateful for the initial reminders of what to look for, it didn’t matter in this case as the gearbox being siezed was the fault.
Oh and by the way I have repaired 100’s of them, one of my favorite jobs replacing the power units.
