The result is exactly as you describe…. I know cos I’ve done it myself !!
but, it was the original fault and no one else has looked at it. I assume.

dont agree, given what he has gone through !50 is not too much. Sure BSH would have been higher and also probably insisted on the appliance being removed first.
BSH would’ve charged £85 + part they wouldn’t insist on it being removed unless it was a seriously bad install.
Personally I’d take the cash they’re offering.
well they certainly have changed thir pricing policy, last time I looked it was something like £15 per 7 ,minutes on top of their call charge.
Mind you according to Mark this does sound like a seriously bad install.eastlmark

Its know it all folks like this plumbers (who is probably ripping her off at the same time) big mouth that cause a lot a problems. As long as you have made the customer aware of your charges then fight them, dont forget to add the court fee and make them aware of that fact. Some photo’s of the instalation would have been a good move. and of course the question has to be: if the plumber so damn clever and cheap then why didnt he fix it then? Bet he doesnt even know where the suppressor is or even what it is.eastlmark

ModeratorRe: ISE 10 washer broken knob. cosmetic damage or not?
Wife knocked ours off when a belt loop caught on it, After I calmed down it just popped back on easy as anything, no damage at all. I reckon ISE could post this part to the customer and get him to fit it.
Will be letting wife out of darkend room in a few days.eastlmark
ModeratorRe: Top loader by LG?
I got a Daewoo one on my patch, may be the same. Like a plastic version of an american machine. dead easy to work on and it had a filter around the back that the customer is not aware of, any luck that’ll be the problem!

ModeratorRe: snowed in !!!
seem to think our vans in the past coped better than the new ones. Maybe its the tyres, designed to run at 100+ mph on the motorway rather than the old vans that struggeld to make it to 70 downhill and had tyres to suite.

ModeratorRe: MFI Turmoil
Interestingly, they want us to fill in a form telling them how much we are owed. This must confirm that they have no paperwork from the original MFI. IMO not worth giving them your details yet again.

ModeratorRe: Hose Kit 651053529
OK I have got one but no piece of paper, the onje for the washer drier does have it though and the restrictor fits into the “y” joint on the hot side.

ModeratorRe: Hose Kit 651053529
the part is a kit and its the plastic type hose, like a thin version of a drain hose. I am sure it comes with a piece of paper showing how to assemble it. I have one in the van, will let you know in a bit.
BTW have you checked the module? when these hoses split in the “vee” it normally sprays out a jet directed straight at the module.eastlmark

One drum Job today in Epping, gave up after 1/4 hour trying to get up a side road. Not getting caught again after having to leave the van and walk home 6 miles in the snow just before Christmas 😯I got stuck in a road just off Epping town centre in the February snow fall, not going back that way till this lot has gone.
