ModeratorIts a shame we couldnt have accessed the previous Yahoo groups history of GB Dar stories as they are very old “freinds” of this group.
It seems the basic theme goes like this:
1) they pay crap money
2)you will soon run up a huge spare parts debt with them, due to the high cost of spares. Of which you will not make a penny profit from.
3)many jobs will not be first time fixs
4)You will have to do a lot of paperwork, reporting, insurance estimates (these at higher rates than YOU actually get paid)
5)They give the customers appointments regardless of whether you can fit the jobs in on that day.
6)The product you are working on is 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} crap. (they no longer handle ASKO.)On the other hand, it would seem that they have tidied up their act recently and appear to pay (or contrapay) on time and now deal with accounts enquiries efficiently and most spares now come though fast.

ModeratorTrue, but the price list is absent from the V2 edition we have.

ModeratorPardon my ignorance, but what or who are JTM?

ModeratorShouldnt someone post a story there regarding this? There are DASA members not part of this that know nothing about Network Dasa yet.

ModeratorHow come they have sent you one? I have been asking for this all year. Kind of anoying to have to phone them everytime for a price before invoicing them as they take SO BLOODY LONG to send us an invoice. (sorry if I turned into Neil then for a second)

Do we need a strategy so we know each other? I will have a badge with my name on so I know who I am. Alex
I think it will be fun trying to guess who we all are. Is that Mr Ucker turning up?
I have met Alex briefly before and we will all know Neil as he is the one always SHOUTING.eastlmark

ModeratorAEG 72600 (1997) lavamat washing machine codes
These are error codes for the AEG German made lavamat 1997 on.
These are only guides as the position of the timer indicator should also be noted if any of these codes are shown, but at least it should point you in the right direction.
C1 not filling/ too slow fill
C2 not pumping/too slow pump output
C3 Aqua control activated, either over fill or leak in base or open or short circuit pump.
C7 Not heating or, oddly, leaking thru solonoid valve
C8 dreaded NTC fault
C9 Tacho or motor fault (brushes even)
CA motor triac short circuit
CD door lock faulty
CE Water distributer fault (this machine has a small motor in the dispenser to select the compartment to fill through, this in turn operates a microswitch inside the dispenser. If this has not been activated within 2 mins, then this code is displayed*very common fault we find)
CF double dreaded EEprom fault (ask Alex!)Some of these faults are locked in and will return even if machine is disconnected, the only way to clear them is to run the test programme. Hold in Pre wash and soak button while turning rotary knob to gentle spin.

ModeratorAssuming the newest models are not differrent, it goes something like this:
3 x 10mm bolts around the door seal,
3 x torx screws behing the dispenser draw (take out the draw, button inside between the compartments, the thrird screw is hidden down a tube in the facia moulding)
open the filter flap, release the drain hose that may be clipped to it and feel under the front edge ot the cabinet front just under the filter where there is a spring clip which needs to be released using the blade of a flat screwdriver or similar.
The whole front of the machine, including facia and controls will now hinge outwards like a huge door. If the machine is tight in its housing, you may need to pull it forward a few cm’s to allow the clearance on the hinged side.
I have assumed you have unplugged the damn thing as I am taking no responibilty for anything!

ModeratorThats not the case Ally, its just the same here even if you offer ££££££.
The only way to do it is to train a young one up which is both costly and risky as they are bound to either leave of set up on their own.
That doesnt mean you cannot set your own standards for your engineers to adhere to though.
Any way, how can we set minimum standards when half our members are either anonymous or dont bother to fill in their profile?eastlmark
Moderatorwe would be interested subject to where/when etc.
But why would a major detergent manufacturer be offerring such “free Training?eastlmark

Dave.
Good point and after every power cut or clock change we get loads of calls of dead ovens and we TELL THEM ON THE PHONE THAT ITS THE DAMED TIMER but still they wont have it, so we go round, set the thing to manual and them argue about the cost for doing so. and more than likely see them again next time.
Mind you we even struggle to fathom them out sometimes! -
