    Re: Siemens d/w heater change

need to check that model number but assume its a heat pump model? unless its top end one the heat pump is easy to change (from the side although some say they do it from the front- never been able to get the old one through the gap when I tried).

if the glass has come away then the only proper repair is a new top, look up the cost and then say its also damaged at least one of the pcbs, the cost of those will put them off repair. I had one of these (customer reported the glass being “springy” from new- thought is was supposed to be floating like that!) her final bill came to £2500 and a lot of stress for me. (and no profit given the amount of visits and time spent on it) (wasn’t a 100 though but a Falcon branded 110 in my case)

think the power module on that one is actually at the rear lower area…. it does have a fuse in it…..
yes it is an invertor compressor on that one but not sure its a Daewoo.

A fully deserved win in the end, United just wanted it more than Spurs. 8)

No argument from me Jim other than to say that boy did we want it. We should have got a second at that time we were way on top instead of thinking one was enough.

Re: Miele G653 SCVI PLUS dishwasher

does that one have a second pressure switch under the door rh side? might be worth looking at if so, pressure chamber for that one is under the lower spray arm mount.
Also has it got an aquastop valve? if so the connector for the remote valve is in a vulnerable position on the right hand side below the door hinge area, it often gets leaked on by a slight drip from the solenoid that is on the rh air break, shorts out and gooses the electronic so a major issue if so. If the plug there is burnt then suspect that is the case.

    Dave

we know that Dave, Twoten was suggesting they may be calibrated differently hence not heating as hot as it should…. doesn’t seem to have affected wash performance though. Maybe this customer is one of those who rinses everything almost clean anyway so may not notice. Will take some resistance measurements when I get a chance.

try disconnecting wash pump and see if it fills normally. Could be an earth fault with that. if not PCB I guess.

Interesting, were both part numbers listed for the model you were working on?

Any idea what the difference is between the two pumps?

no, not from BSH but it is on some other sites, UKW store included (model sms40C02gb/18) + others have said they have fitted them without issue so I gave it a go at a time when there were no reasonably priced 651956 in stock and the only difference seemingly being this “care product” Physical size is the obvious difference.
oddly, no complaint on wash performance- just the drying.
