Cheers Chris, it’s the 3 part one I need ,apperantly his missus lent on it :rolls: , all i need to know now is where to get one from, tried Google last nite, gave up in the end just kept sending me to comparison sites & one which was a dead ringer for the Comet spares page :rolls: might give Graham Dixon a call, he’s old pal of mine…

ParticipantRe: Creda E430ED stat?
Cheers Jim,I think it’s the selector bit thats bust, customer can only get half of grill to work, tries to select full grill & the knob just goes to off position as though it’s skipping past it’s selection point! Once again cheers…Chris.

ParticipantRe: Creda E430ED stat?
Sory forgot to mention this stat seems to control the top oven aswell ,then you turn it clockwise to either “full or half” grill. Hope that clears up a few things.Ta.

ParticipantRe: wpl DW pump replacement
If it’s to replace the Askoll type circ pump then it’s a straight swap, just need a couple of jubilee clips & thats it.

ParticipantRe: Pattern Heaters: A cautionary tale 🙁
Getting back to these heaters ,but is it me or are they getting harder to get out than the ones of yester year? Had one on a HTPT W/Dryer last week it was a sod to come out, talk about scraped knuckles!

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool AKZ161/1x/02 knob
Cheers Chris, I think thats what they want, they just came into the shop with the manual & asked for that button, it was then passed onto to me via shop staff to sort out [as usual] so hopefully thats it .Once again cheers Chris.

ParticipantRe: Lidl Bargain
I use a proper socket which at the time of purchase was to fit my old Kawasaki Z1000s gearbox sprocket nut, just turned out it fitted the Hotpoint spindle nut aswell, result 😀 .

ParticipantRe: partscenter
I know what you mean, we used to deal with ’em all the time, had a rep every month, you could ring the tech dept for any advise & have a good bit of banter aswell. We ain’t dealt with ’em for nearly a year just after the last rep handed his notice in! Using Connections & just opened an account with Qualtex who seemed to have hired a fair few ex Partcentre staff & there web site is like the old Stocklink system! Looks like Qualtex spotted a good opportunity!
