    Re: WTA Logo

I’ve got the Yellow Pages highwayman coming for his pound of flesh end of the month. 👿 👿
Have we got an approved logo for use in YP yet?

BTW my overalls are getting a bit threadbare and I might want to put the badge on my jacket.
This firm are offering free logo setup for a limited period

    Re: hob burning

I would ask about the quality of the pans being used.
If they use cheap pans that have gone convex on the base there is little contact between the pan and hob and heat will conduct sideways into the work surface instead of upwards into the pan.
Good pans cost the earth so we’re back to the budget thing again.

WARNING Advising customers on how to cook can seriously damage your health! 😆 😆 😆

My plan is to ring this customer before calling and request that they pay our labour charge and that having done so we will then call back.

Whats the take on this ?

Don’t do this myself but someone I do S/C work for won’t book a call unless labour is paid up front by c/card.
Doesn’t get many no shows + won’t order spares unless paid for in advance.

Most of my customers get same/next day service so no chance to forget I’m coming. 8)

If you have the double drawer model you may as well change the cable tidy for the new metal version on the other drawer because it will break in time anyway.
When you have done that you can look at it and you should be able to see where you went wrong with the other drawer.
There is one right way to lay the pipes and that is it!
I defy anyone to explain it in words how it should be done.

not to mention the fact that you went to this, left it, and went back.. what would have happened if the consumer had been killed in that gap between the first and second visit?

    yep thats right, YOUR fault

OI WIND YER BLEEDING NECK IN!

    Read my post again.
It was my daughter’s fridge and it wasn’t even plugged in She’s been flooded out.
And as for what would have happened if anyone had been killed I’m afraid the HSE would be the least of my worries.
    Nuff said.
Going on holiday now for a week to try to regain my sanity. 8)

    Re: Whirlpool Dishwasher NTC

I have had one of these on test in my own Whirlpool dishwasher and have checked the wash temperatures and they are spot on.
Dimensions are fractionally different which makes it a tight fit but at £25 cheaper than the Whirlpool I’ll be using the Beko from now on 😀

    Re: Hotpoint no earth

Been back for another look and it seems she bought it “as seen display model”.
My guess is that the mains lead got damaged and some muppet fitted the first one he found.
Anyway this muppet has now fitted a proper mains lead and will be taking the old one back to the shop with a few words of wisdom to impart to the management. 😳

A different reason for not running a freezer through a RCD as I can state from experience is when I went on holiday and left some lights on time switches to make the house look occupied.
Bulb went pop and blew out the ring main, freezer defrosted. :eeek:
Freezer now on separate fused supply with a plug in safety device just in case
