Installed two of these today for a client and yes the tub is welded
    Model BIW 105 W S/N 53800364 PR No 914213009(02)
I only just got these people to stop using Indeloni washers for the same reason.
Does anyone know the price for a tub assembly so we can be prepared?

    Re: PUBLIC LIABILITY INS QUOTES

Not really a comparison as I am a one man operation and don’t do gas but I switched to AXA this year and my premium is £89.25 for £2m cover with £250 excess.
Never made a claim in my life. Don’t know if that makes a difference.

I have been working with a small retailer for a few years now on the basis that I don’t sell anything and he doesn’t mend anything.
I even do his D&G work on his behalf and the deal has worked well for us both as I pass him a lot of sales leads.
Would it be possible in the washer project to work a similar deal whereby He does the retail bit and I pick up the repair work for the five years?
I just need to have this clarified before I start buying the beers.

I have to admit to many years ago owning two of these, they were very basic but built like {probably were} old tanks.
My local dealer said back then that cars shipped back they were probably stripped of all usefull parts (wiper blades) and the remaining body shell chucked over the side!
    Regards

I had the deluxe 16 valve version. 8 in the engine & 8 in the radio! 🙂
    OK I’ll get me coat.

Faulty carbons would not stop the timer from resetting on this whirlpool machine.
Have you tried the test cycle?
If you don’t know how to do it the instructions come in the box with the new timer.
I just checked my van and I haven’t got one but someone else may be able to assist.
From past experience though I would say the timer was duff as I have changed dozens of them.

You need to have a look at the condenser cooling fan at the back of the appliance. If this stops running the centre of the cabinet overheats.
It isnt a heater in there its part of the refrigeration system.

Count the number of flashes when the fault occurs. This is the error code and you can find the list on this site.
My money is on F4 which is drainage failure detection.
Take the diaphragm switch out and clean it.that usually does the trick.
    Good luck

Re: Do you get penalised for being good?

Built in dishwashers……..Can’t get enough of ’em they are one of the jobs that the do it for nothing boys won’t touch so I can charge the proper rate for the job.
I too had a life before this job until I joined the Colston dishwasher company in 19** and I’m still managing to put bread on the table, nothing else though just bread! 🙂
But seriously though I always tell my customers when they book the job what the labour rate is and make no apology if it only takes 5 mins to fix eg. drain syphoning etc.
I recently went to a job where another “engineer” had spent half a day on a repair and not found the shirt button in the sink trap.
I fixed it in 5 mins and charged half as much.
    Was the customer happy?
    What do you think?

    Re: Indesit WIL 163 S

It turned out to be a broken wire in the heater circuit that the ham fisted Indesit engineer damaged when he changed the drum.
Well thats one error code to add to the list but it would be handy to have them all.
    Thanks for looking

    Re: Whirlpool Cooker

Have a look at the centre button. Can you feel a click when you press it?
If not then the switch is probably faulty and you cant get the cooker to power up without it.
It is easy to test the switch with a meter.
To get you going you can access the switch behind the button by prising out the centre of the button and pressing the small red switch behind it.
The easiest way I find to get the middle out is to carefully drill a small hole in it first
    POWER OFF OF COURSE :zap:
