ParticipantRe: £3 a pint?????
Went to a local indian for a carry out last Saturday and we were persuaded to try a couple of pints of the local Indian brew while we waited.
Six pounds please said the waiter!!! and this is in Barton on Humber 😯We persuaded him to let us keep the glasses.

ParticipantRe: Family Tree Puzzle
A similar question.
When I was 6 years old my dad was 36 which made him 6 times my age.
When I reached 10 years he was 40 which was only 4 times my age.
When I was 30 my dad was 60 so was only twice my age.
How long will it be until we are the same age :hmm:Steve

I have a similar plan which I keep putting off for another year and then another etc.
Question I keep asking myself is do I take the lump sum and clear most of the mortgage or continue to speculate on the pension fund increasing and keep paying the mortgage interest.
The next rate rise may just tip the balance.Steve

ParticipantRe: Pension funding?
I stopped contributing to my pension funds eight years ago when one fund dropped in value by £2000 despite me paying in £3000 in one year!
I transferred the whole lot into a low fee fund similar to the stakeholder scheme 12 months ago and have just had a statement showing a £9K increase without me putting in a penny.
First time its ever done that!
Another 10 years like that and I can take early retirement………..

ParticipantRe: For Those That Missed It…
Just read the front page news about the Vestel Whirlpool merger.
Isn’t the ISE2 made by Vestel?
Given Whirlpool’s rediculous spares pricing how will this affect ISE spares pricing once their accountants take control of the business?Steve

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool Toploader Leaking Column
Before you get too far into the repair Makro are advertising these to all & sundry @ £299 in next weeks special offers.
Whirlpool spares being what they are I would be tempted to take a labour charge and send them to Makro rather than have them ring me up a week later when they find out they could have bought a new one for an extra £100. 😉Steve

I would want the Association to elect an officer dedicated to dealing with governmental issues such as the environment and taxation, and to form channels of communication with other associations that may be relevant to small businesses. Along with that i’d like to see a dedicated communications/press officer to get the ‘splash’ of publicity that will make our voice be heard.
Big asks maybe but why not?
And another thing
I’d like to see a (subsidised) legal advice serviceAll this for £60 a year 😆
I think we need a bigger membership to do all this or massive increase in subs which in turn will do nothing to increase membership.
Catch 22 😕

I’m afraid you probably won’t get much help with this one.
I usually advise the Pri-Max primary reducer as a permanent solution 😈 😈 😈

I think this one is to do with the mains connection to the pcb needing replacing.
Loose fitting was causing overheating.

Could be either of the two.
The NTC is cheaper of the two so try that first.
