    Re: Admiral GC22244GEKW keeps defrosting

hello dick, apart from obvious signs, a diagnosis of a pcb fault is normally arrived at by checking all other components.

why do you have to defrost the appliance?
    what are the symptoms?
have you experienced any strange or different noises from it?

the fault may very well be with the pcb, but first you have to eliminate everything else, unless as i say, the pcb fault is obvious.

    Re: Liebherr f2 fault

it sounds like you’ve made heavy work of it tbh!!

remove the sensor from the evaporator.
loosen the black condenser grill at the back and pull the sensor through from the inside of the fridge to the outside.
cut the cable and following instructions supplied in the kit, join the new sensor (OUTSIDE THE CABINET).
    re-assemble.
the whole point of this kit is that the connector block stays in the pcb.

    cheers.

    Re: GE SXS model TFG28PFCWW

    hi bazza.
the old seal just pulls off.
unscrew the metal rods from the fridge door and screw the new ones on.
put a strip of tape around the new seal and also on the new metal rods and stick together.
this better done with the door off and and on the floor.
be careful when offering the seal to the door, you only get one go! make sure it’s properly lined up.
maybe better to have help to line it up.

    cheers.

    thanks for that chris.
what sort of container is it that you use and how do you pump it out?
are the container and the pump supplied by the diesel firm?
finally, is the fuel economy affected?

    thanks again.

    Re: Liebherr f2 fault

the fan works in series with the compressor, so when the compressor runs, the fan runs.
the fan also stops when the door is opened.
i’m not sure on this model, but some models have a little switch on top of the fan and others have a switch on the pcb, marked ventilator.
    some others are automatic.
what i’m saying is make sure it’s turned on!

fridge fan faults are very rare and the evap sensor in the fridge doesn’t affect the fan, unlike the freezer evap sensor, which does.

    cheers.

    Re: Liebherr f2 fault

the sensor will be to the rear of the light. there will also be one within the light housing too. this is not the one you need to change.
the one you need to change will be held against the back wall in a plastic bracket, behind the cover.
    the part no is correct.

    cheers.

    Re: Liebherr f2 fault

hello andrew, you have a CNES3866.
f2 is fridge evaporator sensor fault, as opposed to freezer.
this can be found in the right hand corner of the fridge compartment behind a plastic cover.
you’ll need part no 9590142, which can be bought from this site.

    cheers.

given the fault that was reported, the problem lies solely with the pcb in this instance.
