hi chris the fan should work with door open. fan faults on these are fairly common, well should i say not unusual.
on most models there isnt a fan delay. if the fan’s not running and it’s not impeded by the housing, then i’d be fairly confident that the fan is the problem.
you can check output of the board to the fan and also resistance of the fan from pins on connector j2 on the main pcb, at the rear.
if you’re stuck i could dig out the info for you?cheers.

hi chris, more than likely to be the fan, but could also be the main board on this too.
the fan would be the cheapest option and as i say, the more likely.cheers.

ParticipantRe: Are Chest Freezers no longer suitable for Garages ?
that’s all well and good, but in practice a freezer will work in a garage, we all know that.
the 16c thing spoken about is the lower parameter of the n climate class and not many manufacturers will cover an appliance operating outside of it’s intended operating conditions, i.e. it’s climate class.
i have a freezer in my garage and yet in my job, i’m having to talk to people about climate class almost every day just recently.the only real problem in my experience, with a freezer in a garage is, as ken has already alluded to, the condensation that can occur on the outside of the cabinet.

an error code will only appear if a sensor is open circuit, this is not likely.
the vent you talk about is likely to be the housing for the air sensor. this sensor is not likely to be at fault. the fault will probably lie with the evaporator sensor or the bio fresh sensor.
the sensor values can be checked via the display at the front, which doubles as a service/diagnostic tool.
give liebherr a call, they’ll sort it out for you.
as a matter of interest, where in the country are you?cheers.

eddie, i presume that the door closes properly? i mean the cupboard door.
with integrated appliances, there is a danger that the cupboard door can appear to be closing and yet the fridge door doesn’t meet with the fridge cabinet.
this can easily be rectified by adjusting the position of the outer cupboard door on the fridge door.
this would cause excessive icing up.
however, it could well be that there is a fault with the fridge.
if there is, it would probably be a sensor and so obviously nothing that you, the customer, have caused or can do anything about, other than to call the manufacturer.
this is not a common fault by any means.
i’m sorry that you feel it necessary to ‘kick off ww111’. i can fully understand your frustration, but in my experience in this trade, ‘kicking off’ doesn’t really get you anywhere and it can be counter productive.
instead i would advise you to put in a service call to liebherr and let their excellent service network look after you.
you’ve bought into a premium brand and i’m sure that liebherr will only be too happy to remedy the situation for you.cheers.

haha! yes i know, me too.
you’ll be pleased to know that they’re still on sale inside the ground!
i’m not sure of the ins and outs of the deal, i think their sponsorship just ran out.
they must be seriously gutted about the massive global exposure that they’ve lost.
cooke is a fuel company. they have a depot near where i live.ELDAR59

i’m afraid i’m with you there jim, i think chelsea will be too strong this time around, although i hope not.
it will be interesting to see how the season pans out. will spurs be able to maintain their challenge? will man city pose a real threat to the top four, or just pose?excellent night at turf moor last night, one of the best in recent years.
it was backs to the wall stuff for long periods in the second half, but we held on.
everton are next up at turf moor on sunday.
they were soundly beaten last weekend, but last i heard tonight, they were 4 up in the europa league. it looks like they’re smarting from the arsenal game!
it’s going to be a long hard ride!! 😥 -
