Couldn’t get any resistance reading across tacho coil at all.
Tried measuring voltage across tacho while spinning armature, there is some voltage but difficult to measure with a digital multimeter.Have ordered a new tacho coil

Thanks very much Tell for your help. I have an older edition of the CD and this machine is not on the CD, suppose I will have to get round to getting an up to date one. 🙁
Thanks again

Yes Phidom exactly what I am going to do. 😀
I did manage to get the switch button out after trying for about 15 minutes with different bent nails and strong sewing needles, seems like the idea of drilling a hole in the button in the right place to get at the screw is the best way to go, then fit a new button.
Anyway job done, and a wiser man, thanks for your postings.

No water in base, but overfill float was stuck at the top of the float chamber due to scale round the sides of the chamber and on the float.
Rather than strip down the water manifolds, which looks to be a pig of a job, and may well cause a leak on reasembly, not having any new O rings, Gave the chamber and float a squirt of Viakal kettle de scaler. Then waited a while for de scaler to work. 😆Having got rid of the scale, set machine on a wash, but observed the water was not entering the sump quick enough, causing the overflow float to lift, but not quite enough to operate the overflow microswitch.
Cleaned out hose going to sump, usual gunk had collected in the pipe, retested machine all ok.

Thanks all for your help
I was just checking re the availability of parts before going to job 1st one in the morning.
Customer had taken back off machine, and told me the motor was hanging down due to a broken motor bracket 🙄Malc
