Thanks Martin
Yes blower fan working ok (I replaced it 18 months ago).
I did think on the same lines as you re testing with another element from van, but didn’t due to my other theory re no rise in temperature on ntc, might abort the supply to element. Suppose I could have tried that by warming the ntc. Oh well will x fingers when I go back with the element next week.
I will post here the result.Malc

Flyman 😀
You have come up trumps on this, customer was also complaining that the machine “walks”.
I did not realise that the load is restricted to 1kg either.
I reckon the wash time, times out then on heating, rather than reaching the set temperature. Thanks also to Iadom for your input on this.
Both much appreciated, thanks.

Martin
I can’t help find a Swanmaid Dishwasher.
I can remember repairing them. Used a perspex temporary door to check the water pattern from the jets etc. And they had a great big solenoid that pulled down the outlet hose for draining under gravity.
Life was a lot easier in them days.
I did an apprentiship as an electrician in 1964, 😳 can’t remember why we had to repair Swanmaids :rolls:

ParticipantRe: Zan defrost timer wiring
From wiring diagram on TDS shows the following for the sankyo timer
1 live
2 to defrost heaters
3 neutral
4 to compressor and fan
There are several ZX57/3SI but with different pnc numbers, the wiring looks the same.Malc

Looks like I may well have a recall before the 12 months is out then.
Hadn’t realised that this had been discussed over a year ago. Thanks all.Malc

There is a paper insert in the box that says not to use jubilee clips.
Thanks for all the replies.

Thanks for your thoughts Graham.
The picture of the genuine pump on connect, shows an aluminium pulley. The picture of the pattern pump, well the pulley is not easily seen as it is in shadow, HmmMalc

ParticipantRe: Nardi Dishwasher, all lights flashing
Thanks Chris, I had a feeling that it could be the switch on the door, will go see if that is the case.
