looks like a stoves built oven so it should have a large black fan at the rear
does this fan start and keep running after you turn oven off

if no prob the power supply cap on the pcb done lots of them

looks like you havea board fault

the power goes directly to the onn off switch behind the knob. provided the knob is turning the switch all that is left then is the board

most of the times the board survives unless its gone with a bang

you say you have less than 2Mohm resistance but before you condemn it take the armature out of the motor and blow carbon dust off armature and brush gear. sometimes the dust get where it should not be especially in damp conditions. Then test again but it got to be lower than 0.5 M Ohm at 250v (9volt meters somtimes show higher readings) to blow your trip

wiring info for siemans is not easy to come by.

i have not seen the new elements but from the diagrams i think i know what you have done. The connection on the stats on the ring are in a different orientation and when you connected it you caused a short circuit

from what you say the circuit board has had a short circuit. since i assume these rings will be relay controlled it may be possible to repair the board and replace the relay. depends on how much damage you have done

there is also a risk you have damaged the overheat stat of the new ring

if you post pictures it might help to decide
