Re: Lamona Dishwasher Program freeze an lights

as you can imagine without more info its hard to guess a problem

Lamona is the brandname used by Howden joinery. they usually use Beko machines but not always

the door droping will be the springs or wires. pull out dishwasher and take sides off to see whats gone

    as for the other problem.

Does the door feel like it opening and closing properly (with a click)
if not door switch may be in the closed position so buttons may not work

to be honest there is not a lot to do. a trained ear will pick up things you wont
but the most important thing is to keep an eye on lint build up inside the casing. this builds up over time the more its used the more you will get. as you can imagine if a lot builds up it is a potential fire hazard

as you prob know they are 2 unrelated faults

    F2 is flooded base

    F6 is tap turned off

its not unusual for the flow meters to go faulty ( i solder in new reed switches ) also these units are prone to breaking the wires in the door

cant see it being tacho otherwise it would affect the wash cycles as well. the same argument goes for the triac

sounds like a board fault to me

did you try it with different loads ?

if a load is out of balance the machine wont spin. may just be a bad load

had same fault on another Beko auto ended up fault was machine was connected to hot water not cold

    Dave

just had another thought. i am assuming my machine was sensing it was hot at the end and trying to cool things down by adding water. So, if the ntc was faulty it may do the same thing

Re: Bosch Dishwasher Heat Pump Failure?

i dont know thw wiring colours of this machine but provided you have correctly identified the wires you should get a voltage to earth on one of them at some point.
you have to be aware that the machine only heats at some stages in the cycle. select the shortest programme close the soap dispenser and after the programme starts listen for the draw opening. you can then be sure the machine is due to heat.
we get a lot of problems with bad solder joints on the board on heater relays, so it worth a look. trace the heater wires back to the board so you know where to look and look at the solder joints around relays.

hope it helps but not had this problem on this model yet

to be honest in our opinion you if you want a new dryer you either buy cheap or quality
that White Knight or Bosch if you want top quality there is always miele
not a great fan of hoover to to repair access probs and hotpoint, indesit etc have a very poor rear bearing. the w/knight is built in halifax and although a bit plasticky on the door the drum assembly is quite sound

you could find an engineer through this site and see what he would charge

    Re: beko dpu 8360w

there is a lot of things it could be but in a nutshell somewhere in the machine you have an earth fault

could be water or dampness in the wrong place or a failing component like the motor or heater

until an enginner looks at it you wont know

Re: Hoover VHC680F not heating up

On hoover dryers if the element overheats it blows a thermostat on the element assembly
unlike most other makes to get this stat you have to replace the whole element assembly
to make it even harder to replace this element you have to disconnect the wires inside to eneble the new element to be connected. but to get at these connections you have to strip down the dryer
not a job i like and as amateur you may struggle

but you have to prove its the element first and not another problem
