I would guess this is an LED unit and it wont be an LED lamp problem but more likely the power supply board that feeds it

prices are always higher than anywhere else. often you can buy the same part from wow discounts on ebay which they also own

did take a quick look at your heater and its £2 cheaper on Aswo

take another staple qualtex part no Car72. i use a gen part for these as long lost faith in some non gen parts. cheapest gen part no is C00194594

Connect want £9.81 Aswo £8.21 and Qualtex £7.79 these are all plus vat

They are useful for oddball stuff and part that are out of stock everwhere else

most of it is down to cost. look at the price of appliances in real terms back then. how many weeks wages it took to pay for them

now customers demand cheap, the result is por quality good made where labour is cheap which will never be here

I remenber going into English Electric in Liverpool and they stocked spares for their cookers for 25 years. That was the life they designed for

looking at a few ebay parts it looks like a flow through unit

if you know the diameter you may find one to fit

    Beko one is 32mm

    you could look at induction

you need to buy correct pans but far more energy efficient

solid rings are aweful take ages to heat up and cool down

i would check that black wire

often they feed the neutral via 1 wire so if it breaks you loose 2 rings. are the 2 new rings you have lost on the same side ?

well judging by the pics on aswo it does look like there may be a spring element to them

what i am guessing is it will probably be just one hinge causing the problem, find and remove and its a temp fix. hinges are showing £54 plus vat on aswo so not cheap

cant find a pic of this one but a lot of slot in cookers from years ago mean taking the sides to gain access to the controls and its not easy even then

I would say hinges are first place to start

I would check each hinge for damage and try taking them off , maybe one at a time, to see if one of them is jamming
