thanks rouge element is that the clip that holds magnet on the shaft of the motor do the come loose would that cause it to skip right to the end of the program just filling breifly then pumping then spinning breifly as if the whol program is speeded up and stopping at the end .fasetester 😕

thanks eastmark for your reply so the smeg can fill and empy for 2 to 3 minutes before starting a programe so you have to wait before deciding if there is a fault should the householder not know that who is using the machine should the meetering tank when it is filling send some water up a channel like a blow off then like spit some water out of it and go down another channel the only way i could get it to work was cut back on the mains pressure so that it would fill and carry on the program the woman said it had not worked like that for a good while it would start and after a while stop and beep after i cleaned out under the black flap and checked the meetering tank for flow even when i removed the main hose to the meetering tank and let it flow into a basin the valve would activate and then stop after a min or so what is your thoughts on turning down the water pressure eastmark thank fasetester 😕 😳

thanks lawrence for your reply where is the none return flap in the smeg even when i removed the main feed hose from the metering tank and put it in a dish the water would flow for a short time and then stop as i said it would run ok with the pressure turned down is it ok to leave the pressure turned down so that it runs thanks fasetester 🙂
