so what you are saying is even if you test the capactor with the meter and get it to charge and dischare and you get the flick on the meter the capactor could still be faulty that what i went with all along and if i did not get it to charge or discharge changed the capactor and the motor burst into life so i could be fooled going by the meter so you are best just to try a new one that is the only sure way thanks penguin and dpm any more comments on the hose clips on this washer pump the dont seem very tight when you have removed them put them back on the seem kind loose and with the pressure of the pump you would think the would blow off or do the not have to be over tight and do any of you know of the metal bands that subs is talking about thanks for all the replys fasetester

    Re: indesit dishwasher

thanks for the reply penguin would you say that testing the capactor with a analog meter to charge and discharge the capactor would not give the proper results so far that is how i have tested them and it has so far told me if the capactor was a dud what do you think penguin thanks faseester 🙂

thanks for the reply hotpnt after it fills you can hear the washer pump like trying to kick in it will hum and then try to turn as if it is a lazy motor are the known for motor failure when the hose is recrimped will the seal ok again as the dont seem that tight you would think with the pump pressure the would blow off are the a sealed motor thanks fasetester

    Re: indesit dishwasher

went to see dishwasher indesit after pumping out at the start of the program would fill in with water but no wash action i could hear the washer pump trying to go as if it was trying to start tested capactor seemed ok removed washer pump to check for blockages pump turned freely is there any thing else i should have checked removed empying pump checked ok would it be possible for the washer pump to have weak windings and stop it from washing and the hose clips are hard to get back on the washer pump hard to get them to click into the second nick or is there a tool for the job the keep sliding round if i could hear from any hotpoint indesit engineers what the think could be wrong thanks fasetester 😕
