    Zanussi ZWD14270w1

    Hi Guys
I have a zanussi ZWD1427OW1 that just will not start.
You can select program, select spin speed etc, light comes on and flashes to push for start, push start and green start light stays on,door is locked ok, window show time left to go in wash and counts down..no drain pump noise or hum… it does nothing else..no water intake, no drum action…just nothing.I forgot to say…drain pump does not even attempt to start.
    Any ideas would be welcome

Re: Miele error codes – can you or can you not reset them?

    Q. does the fault indication on Miele machine flag up when customer switches machine on after fault has been cleared?
    Awns. Categorically NO!
But it will stay in memory till an engineer clears it.
    Hope this helps. 😉

    Hi to all
Just a note to say thanks for the forum…very interesting remarks.
as for hefty Miele repairs…the only time there is a probability for BER is when the motor or electronic is U/S…but this is very rare in my experience.
New machines either come with 10year warranty or 2 years on all parts and labour. The other way around the problem is to leave an estimate(chargeable) and tell customer to try for D&G insurance…this of coarse lowers the cost considerably.
    Good luck felllers… 😆

Re: Miele error codes – can you or can you not reset them?

Hi Andy… I do service work for them and was a miele engineer. I work on all the new models and I can tell you that it does not matter about faults in memory…its only for info for engineers. They can be reset manually…but we do it via the laptop and what is called an MDU unit which tell you all.
clear the fault and hey presto…it all works again…clearing the fault code only clears info but defeats the object of knowing what the machine faults have been…hope this help…let me know if you get stuck on anything.. :rolls:
