Kevin this is/was not known to all Electrolux agents , it is to be presented at a national seminar on the 18 th of this month. That is why I have had to ring Steve Clarke and apologise for the ‘cat been let out of the bag ‘.
Which IMO also makes us look like a bunch of tounge wagging washer women.

So maybe now some will realise why I was severly pissed off with the situation, especially when I was building up a very good dialogue and relationship with the bloke.

If your paperwork systems are ‘watertight’, do what Penguin says . Go to small claims and walk away a winner.
We had a similar situation as Neil and GBDar they wanted paying for spares we told them we had returned, when they carried on persueing us we pulled the POD’s out, they dropped their claim, same goes with Merloni recently. Basically these ‘large’ organisations paperwork systems /accounts are not kept up to date or accurate and some neive dickhead who works there thinks they are, until you prove otherwise, and it has to be you that does the donkey work.

Paragraph 1 looks spot on to me John.

If any one wants to register try http://www.123-reg.co.uk . I thought it was reasonable and quick.

Try http://www.allwhois.com to find out who has registered a site.

http://www.ukwhitegoods.net If I am reading it right is registered to MSElectrical in Durham on the 15th june 2004 . What a wonderful thing the Net is.

Kevin , I don’t know where you heard that, But I actually assisted in pushing NESN into withdrawing from the trial with Merloni. (With my persistant complaining).
The call information passed was of a very poor quality .
No tecnical advice available. ( Fault codes /diagnostics etc).
    No spares a/cs set up.
and no contact /customer care information available for exchanges.

Between Tuesday and Thursday I sent Clare Piercy 4 e- mails and made 5 phonecalls about the above subjects. On late Thursday afternoon I had a phone call from the new sales director (?) apologising and telling me thay had suspended the work as of that evening. It was causing too many problems for them and the other 10 or so agents doing the trial .

Meanwhile if Merloni were not happy why did they e-mail NESN 150 jobs today and why are they sending grovelling e-mails for them to start up again.

Them Merloni boys sure are desperate !!!!

Its supposedly just guarantee calls, no insurance, so Merloni are not even making on that.

It does seem rather peculier ?

    Re: Merloni

As always I hope the following does remain confidential.

Had a meeting with 3 gents from Merloni.

1 x Van stock is indeed £6000.00 , Which can be paid for in 4 instalments.

Number of calls that can be taken depends on your size. But the calls are passed via the laptop (supplied FOC) the day before!!!!( So you need to keep your engineers closed down so you dont overbook). All calls should be cleared down via the laptop, – These calls go back into the merloni system, any second visits may not come back to you.– Payment issue.

Spares are replenished FOC you don’t charge for them. no margin there then.

Even though they have booked the calls for you they wont pay for Not in’s.

I was offered £25.00 a call, the highest of their rates as we cover a large area. Extras £10.00 for gas , £16.00 for a plastic tub , £30.00 for a metal tub, then theres £15.00 a day for going out of area. i.e. if I am asked to just do wakefield for them but then they throw 4 Doncaster jobs in.

As I understood it all completed calls are invoiced automatically at £25.00 on the laptop any other charges have to be raised manually.

Calls are a mix of Guarantee,Insurance and Chargeable.

I declined to accept their offer of work, and they went away to talk to their their money men.

In a nut shell underpayed, overcomplicated and an admin nightmare.

What would you have done !

    P.
